hey there, Michael Brown here. Car looks great. Looking forward to more pics. Too bad we couldn't meet at the sunriver show. We have a house in Sunriver also and will be over in the next month or two. Great taste in cars - is yours an 88.5 or 89? Very excited for you. Don't forget to sleep in the garage with it at least one time. michael and melinda
Looks great, congrats. I hope to see more pix soon. Is the interior black? Enjoy the "new" car. Best regards, Dino
Yes, I made it without any issues at all. I will write a full report when I get a chance, just doing some "bonding" with my new 328 The car is red with black interior. Car seems perfect, no real issues. The books call it a 1989, built in 1988, and I don't think it has ABS. All the manuals, tools are in the car. I have some pictures, but forgot to take my camera for the ride home. I did not sleep with the car, but I did spend a ton of time in garage in the past 24 hours! Already working on the small things! I do need some sleep after a busy weekend. THANKS to all that said to drive the car home, nine hours of driving will give you a amazing chance to "understand" a 328. Will report back soon, Thanks again, Bob
If it is actually US Spec 1989 rather than an 1988.5 328 it should have ABS, as it was std equipment for 89s. Some of the early '89s were built at the end of '88. Overall looks like a great find, enjoy it. Best regards, Dino
Convex wheels don't necessarily mean ABS, and in the US model years run Sept-Sept. My "1987" 328 was built in Oct 86, I suspect his may be similar.
Congrats on a great car Bob. I know how you feel - I drove my red on black 88,5 from the UK to Warsaw, Poland - 1000 miles and 2 days after buying it. Enjoy, I'm still in love with mine almost 2 years, 8000 miles and a lot of illegal speeds later. She's been flawless.
