Ok after work today I went shopping around car dealerships for a nice 355, (I decided to get the 355) and at the second dealership I found it. So I took it for a test drive and absolutely loved it. I can't wait when I don't have a salesman in the passenger seat so i can really drive it! So I put a deposit on it and tomorrow I am going to go pay up and get the car! :-D I am very excited.

It is everything I wanted, 6-speed, original radio, Rosso Corsa on Tan, Scuderia shields, all three sets of keys, 1999 (I wanted the last year), only 15,610 miles, not to bad, and it also has all the books and records and shows a 15,000 service.

After I took it for a test drive they put it back in the showroom, which I was surprised about, but happy that they are going to keep it inside overnight considering I have already paid for the door mirror :)

Heres a picture of it in the showroom!

I thought about putting this in the 355 section, but I thought it involves the buying of a Ferrari so it should go here.

Does that 15,000 mile service include cam belts and tensioner bearings?

    Congrats!

Congrats - the car looks sharp. Also note, the car should be ripe for a 5 year/30K major service. Hopefully you got that worked into the price. :)

    You mean payment protection insurance?

If so no, but I trust them with my deposit, they are a pretty big dealership.

I think so, isn't it included in the big 15,000 mile service, I'll check the records.

Pre Purchase Inspection. Usually involves an unrelated professional Ferrari mechanic checking the car out to give you an independent appraisal of the car's condition.

Not necessarily, and they need to be changed based on mileage and years. If they've never been touched, you're looking at an extra expense.

In any case, it's still a beautiful car. You'll love it.

Don't get too excited, I highly recommend looking into the cars history and getting a PPI. You really need a qualified technician (outside of their dealership) to check the car out. It may need $10,000 in repairs and you don't want to find that out after the transaction is completed.

    Congrats mate!! :):)

That is a beautiful machine you have yourself there. :):)

Before going through with the purchase, I am with the boys on this one. I would get a PPI done, just to make sure everything is ok with the car. :):)

You do not want to hand over the cash if there is something nasty lurking in there. :):)

Good luck with it man. :):)

Ok thanks, I am aware of the idea and already arranged it tomorrow with the official Ferrari dealer where I live, I just never referred to it as a PPI , I'm embarrassed.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Will let you know of the result from the PPI
