About 9 months ago, I was talking with Daniel at Ricambi. He mentioned that he was unable to obtain NOS 348 mirror covers that were in good condition. He said that even the NOS ones he could find had become soft & sticky and were usually damaged. He asked if I could make them for him. I said yes if we could come up with a pair that were in excellent condition so we could use them for mold patterns.

We both began searching for a pair of covers. Late this summer I was lucky enough to be talking to someone who had just spent several evenings striping & refinishing their covers as described in some previous Fchat threads. He was kind enough to let me borrow them for a week so I could make molds.

A couple of pictures of newly made reproduction covers are attached.

These new covers are made from polyurethane that's highly resistant to UV & chemicals. They will NOT get soft & sticky the way the OEM ones do.

The covers are currently exclusively sold by Ricambi. To order, just click on the Ricambi ad when it appears on an Fchat page, browse their web site, or give Daniel a call.

    Great job!!

While you're at it, can you make clear plastic replacement lenses for all of those broken fog lights out there?

Ooh, now you're talkin'. Daniel can do anything. I fully expect him to have a complete set of replacment driver's lights this year for a decent price, which would be $1000 - $1500. :)

If NLA & they're simple clear one piece lenses, then all I'll need is to borrow ones in good condition to make mold patterns from.
