And what does Ferrari have to do with the V8Taxicars, perfect day to hold the event

Unfortunately V8Supercar organisers aren't lovers of other motoring events else they wouldn't put the V8 event the same weekend as the Japanese GP, which they did almost every year when Ch10 had the rights to both events. So F1 would be put on at 11pm even tho it was a title race decider.


edit: Surprise surprise, its on the same weekend as the Japanese GP.

Ok I agree with you now, what were they thinking putting the Ferrari Concours on the same weekend a F1 event happens in the day (local time for us).

 

Because we have the National Rally starting in Sydney (with a concours) on Sunday 26 October!

People want a state concours, its usually held in October, the 12th was the only day that could be worked into the Calendar.

 

That'll be me.

The only day I open a beer before midday. Bacon and eggs for breaky with a nice cold VB.

Wife is taking the boys to another birthday party, so I'm home alone.

Wouldn't it have been easier to have held the NSW Concorso in conjunction with the National?

 

And why would you find that amusing?

 

I wasn't involved in the planning but I'm guessing the idea is that the state concours gives people an opportunity to learn where their car is losing points and thus be in better shape for a trophy at the nationals.

 

and gives everyone a chance to wear their yellow tshirts and red shoes twice

 

and their caps and the wives/girlfriends their scarfs.
