    So thinking of replacing the bad OEM headers with the Fabspeeds. I've heard good things about them so far and the price is right. I plan on having the heat shield for the alternator fabbed up as well. BUT

    Anything else I should consider or think about before pulling the trigger on this?

    Lots of threads on this before, but it looks like you've already done the search from the sound of your question.

    I've had Fabspeed headers on my '98 for 6 months and 2K miles now, no problems. Maybe a little loss in midrange torque, not huge difference, but perhaps it's there. But price and workmanship are right on, so I can definitely endorse their product.
