They steer and hang on though! I'm a big fan of Hoosiers. Its a 302, forget the name of the builder but I know it dynoed at 500hp and it feels every inch of it. Has that gluggy lazy V8 feel up to 4000 then turns into a monster with a lovely Nascar hammering exhaust note.
Sorry, I was too busy enjoying myself. Did I mention that someone had brought along a Penthouse Pet to be photgraphed with the exotic cars? Spectacular silicone work, if you like that sort of thing.
what heads it running? gearbox? I don't wish to be rude, but their is about 6 guys in melbourne claiming the same thing ree tubs, panels ect.But their running modern motors/gearbox's.
1. don't know, but they're not Gurney-Weslakes. 2. Hewland, forget which one. 3. The bloke in NZ made a few of these tubs, about 15 years ago
you can buy Gurney-Weslakes new again, but their is far better heads out their. hewland would have to be a DGB300 or a 6oo only gearbox's made buy hewland that would take the torque.
These NZ cars are/were fantastic. Can't remember the builder, we had one shipped to Broadmeadows for a photo session with jackie stewart back in 95 (?)...superb.
The girl is called Trinity........ 4th column down, first pic........... http://www.bombshells.com.au/stripper.htm Bob.
NZ has a worldwide reputation for classic body construction skills and they deserve it. Kerry M had his 375plus rebodied there in the 80's, an absolutely stunning job.
I love living in Australia, but I must say that NZ seems to have a lot more events on for old cars. You can almost find something on somewhere every weekend. And by this I mean racing, not social drives, and it doesn't cost an arm and leg to enter.
Here is a link to some random pics that I took........... Bob. http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y132/PeterBrock/FCA%20Concourse%202008/
