I need to take the steering wheel off my '83 308QV in order to send the turn signal mechanism to Verell for rebuilding. You need a 'Ring Nut' tool to remove the ring nut that holds on the wheel. (Why did Ferrari not use a standard nut?) Ricambi sells them but its a little painful to buy one for this project and never use it again. Hopefully!

Anyone have one and MOST IMPORTANT want to sell it or rent it out? Please PM me. Thanks!

Do the search. There are several threads on how to make your own out of a piece of pipe. I made one - total cost under $3.00.

i notched an old socket to fit with a dremel tool. took 10 minutes and worked fine. i confess though that i removed the shaft nut the first time with a vice grip and used the nut as a guide off the shaft. regards, jon s

I saw the old thread Verell includes with his instructions. I'll search for the other instructions but I was hoping not to spend a day chasing it down. If someone has one and wants to 'move it on' let me know.

and works like a charm but I may still get your tool just in case.

I just wound up taking a very large pair of needle nose pliers to it. It came off without too much of a problem.
    Nice work on yours Mike!

All I see is rather expensive single sockets offered. Why isn't anyone making a set of the most common sizes? There must be a market for them. Something to look into?
