People often sleep bad because their sleeping room is close to a water vein. Electric smog is another reason. Both can be tested

Got my new bed and I really do like it. Slept on it the past two nights and have been cradled in comfort. The only thing that I wish that I had done differently is that I got the normal height foundations (I used to call them box springs) and I probably should have got the low profile ones. With the normal foundations the bed is REALLY high off the ground, should keep the dog off the bed at least :)

I shopped & shopped & shopped for the perfect mattress flopping around in the showroom like a beached dolphin. If I could have slept on them all I could have chosen wisely. Ended up w/ a Sealy but it turned out wrong as my arm goes to sleep when I sleep on my side. Too hard I guess. This is a difficult choice to make. Good luck!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what exactly is a water vein?

    hi Zophie :)

    quote from Wikipedia:

A water vein is a psuedoscientific and popularly applied term to a body of flowing, streaming groundwater. Usually the groundwater doesn't form an underground stream. This rarely occurs in karstic terrains and some crevices or fissures in massif rocks. Water veins are popularly supposed to have influence on levels of locational geopathic stress.

    quote from whitemagicway.com/geobiology:

There are two kinds of underground water veins, primary water and aquifer water. The first one is water that comes up from the deepest parts of the earth for the first time, It is known as healing water and is the water that flows out of earth in well known hot thermal stations around the planet as for example in Yellowstone.

Most of the power places on earth have at least one vein of primary water, usually more, crossing one or two ley lines. in geobiology it is not suggested to build a home above primary water because its energy is too strong.

The second kind of underground water veins is aquifer water. The natural radioactivity above these veins is higher than usual, and the magnetic field is very low. Its influence affects a height of 100 meters. The friction of the underground water on the rocks creates a very strong vibration on the surface. This vibration becomes more noxious if the water is polluted. Its presence can be noticed above surface on the vegetation, trees grow diagonally trying to avoid the vibration, wholes in planted hedges. Lightnings often touch earth where two underground water veins cross each other. When an underground water vein comes together with a hartman or star or mummification crossing it creates a noxious spot which is called geopathy. This is a situation that requires to move your bed or to move to another room or another house, if the underground water is everywhere.

I know quite a lot of persons who slept quite uncomfortable living close to a water vein. After they changed one's residence, they slept well ... and hopefully still do

    regards
    Helmut

We just went from one Sealy pillow top to another. The prior one lasted for a long time and finally gave out. This one is very firm. We transferred the 2" latex foam pad to the new one and junked it aftrer a couple nights, as it was too much.

    Perfect now.

    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! :)

I know this is an ancient thread, but I'm in the market for a new bed. Anything new come out over the last couple of years (since the last post in this thread) that I should consider?

This is a timely topic for me. I need a new mattress badly. I spent two nights at a Hampton Inn a few weels ago and the bed was so comfortable. I looked on their website and they want 1400 for the mattress set. I know it's made by Serta. Anybody know what the model name is and if I can get it for cheaper?

I bought a Chattam and Wells matress years ago at an premium furniture (Gaberts) store "outlet" warehouse that they had. All their scratch and dent/discontinued stuff went to this warehouse.
Matresses typically ran %50 to %60 percent off. Brand new in the wrapper. It is actually illegal to sell a used matress (even 1 night ) unless it has gone through a process and is permanently labeled as such.
Our regular salespeson knew we were looking for matresses and let us know that one Martin Luther King day all KING matresses were to be another %50 off.
We snagged 2 but should have bought them all and ebayed the lot ;)
If you can find a Chattam and Wells at a discount this is the ticket.
After all this time I still am amazed by this thing.

im currently shopping for a mattress, its so hard to compare. Its said that the brotherhood of manufacturers and retailers are in bed together! :)
anyhow, i'm realy liking the Latex beds, yes latex. Serta makes one, and seal does under the "embody" brand name.

I slept on the floor for 6 months when I first moved into my apartment, then bought a queen bed from some place.

I have a hard time sleeping either way.
