And a 1/43rd finished model before the real car is even done!! Looksmart Ferrari California closed and open versions. I like the closed version. It looks sort of like a mini 575M from the side . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hasegawa has announced that they will be doing a 1/20th F1 model. It will be released in November 2008. This will be a new tool. I would guess that it will be a Ferrari or one of the new Honda/Toyota's. Rumor also is that they will also be buying the Modelers 1/20th Ferrari F92A and Footwork molds. Its been a very good year for larger scale new models!! Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo Model Contest

Another hand built by BBR: Ferrari Enzo FXX Evo in 1/43rd. I think the real car would look better with its car cover left on Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I know some people would flame me for saying this, but the new California looks like a Pontiac Solstice from the back and a Maseratti GT from the front with wheel design that is a cross between Corvette and Audi.
Ordered a California and have 1 orange FXX, but they are certainly NOT my favourites! A California should have 12 cilinders and no folding roof! The original is an Icon, the new one will never be!
I think the Solstice looks more like an Alfa 8C than the California. I will say that the California is not perfect, but it is a move in the right direction as far as styling is concerned. The Enzo and Enzo FXX or FXX evo were a major step in the wrong direction. They may look bad ass, but they are also ugly. The Enzo shapes just don't flow together, especially in the cockpit area. I wish the Enzo looked more like Jim's P4/5!
+1. However I think the California is kinda "confused" as far as its design goes. I know that its light are rounder and more circular than the Solstice but the Pontiac is the first thing that comes to mind when the new Ferrari is viewed from rear 3/4 view. Everything from the front wheel well forward is an absolute Maseratti. Don't get me wrong, I thing the car looks fantastic. It just looks like a fantastic .........aaaaaaaaa.........non-Ferrari!?

Wonder if that true. Thanks for the link!!! You would wonder why they waited so long to do the 248F1, but if its a full detail that would make sense. Tom
