Here's a couple of photos from deep inside the super top secret Challenge Grill lab from last night. First photo is of my dad, an expert craftsman, putting the finishing touches on the panel mounting bracket.

Second photo is a side angle as we are measuring, fitting, re-measuring, re-fitting - you get the point!

Now the panel is off to Indiana where it is being modified for the final test!

It's looking really good, Husker. I can imagine the time needed to fab up brackets and such, kudos to you for doing it. I'm looking forward to the end result.

Quick update: Final adjustments and tweaking taking place this week, and I should have the first version installed on my car by Wednesday, October 29. The grill will be available for order once all adjustments have been made satisfactorily.

Also, this WILL be available with brand new 355/360/550 taillights pre-installed in the grill. These are factory OEM taillights. Ricambi is our taillight supplier.

It looks like we are going to be able to hold this ENTIRE conversion to just under $2,000.

I am tempted to show you a rear photo of this grill mounted on my car because the darn thing looks so good, but I'm going to resist until the final version is on.

    That's all for now!

It will not. While similar, the 348 rear end is actually wider than a 355. There are some other differences, but this is the main one.

I don't see why not! I would think that the shipping cost would be high, but do-able. Once we get going I will get a shipping quote for you.

    Cool,

You should ask Rob about sponsorship, and see if you can't advertise some of Verrell's stuff on your site...

Hello guys, just checking in: We are having a few issues getting the pattern correct for consistent duplication of the mounting arms on the interior of the grill that bolt it to the car. Without getting too detailed, these have to be mounted on the grill at precisely the right angle, and they must be precisely the right size, for the grill to mount correctly to the car. For a one-off piece, it's not that big of a deal, but for duplication accuracy, we have had to spend some time getting this right. I'm not worried about my grill fitting correctly, but about YOUR grill fitting correctly should you want one. And so it will be but a few more days...

Feel free to PM me with questions.

You must be of the philosophy that "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right". Sounds like the right approach to me Husker! Almost there! :)
