i have no interest in "stealing the car" away from anyone, i sent a pm and never heard a word. the original poster also posted about other "barn find" ferraris he was going to look at.

i am not calling bs, but it seems if people offer free help in an area you need it, you would at least call and be very vague about the location.

like i said, i don't pretend to know alot about houston, but it is hard to believe a guy that passed a year ago that had several ferrari's and was active in the community with the cars would be this far under the radar. sadly, there aren't that many dino's here in houston. they aren't cars that are hard to track.

Thanks, strange he wouldn't call, but sometimes new users don't "get" how the PM's here work.....

There was the few odds and ends over at Mr. Mecum's house in the garage, they said they'd call if they found any left over horsie parts!

I would honestly not really go over about $60k for an unknown car that after a $100k restoration (and further devaluation in the marketplace) might have a $150k car. That would put you at a $10k loss, which is about reasonable in my mind.

    explains quite a bit....

like i said, there aren't many cars in houston that would fall into this catagory without someone knowing the story.....
