Like the Miata, "well setup" is the key word. From the factory, the C6 (even the Z06) is relatively sloppy. However, being a vette, parts are plentiful and cheap and the cars are easy to work on. Those who doubt the Miata might want to substitute Lotus or some other name with more prestige if it makes you feel better. I am taking my F430 on the track for the first time next week. I'm sure it will be a blast.
Enjoy. I count blasting around Mt. Tremblant in a F430 as one of my best experiences ever. The F430 is a tad softer than a Challenge Stradale, and the motor definitely has more grunt. Put together, it is a blast to drive fast. I was laughing even when I made mistakes. Dale
Here are 16 of them listed for less than 200K http://autos.aol.com/used-list/make1-Ferrari/model1-F430/trim-Scuderia
Napolis, I don't have time to go through them right now, but at least the first car is not a Scuderia. No doubt they've fallen with the others. Mine arrives in a month likely at $300k, makes you think! Edit, looked a little harder anyway, doubt there's a Scuderia in there for anywhere near $200k.
Even though the dealers are listing them as Scuderia's you're right that most aren't. They seem to be regular coupes and spyders at dealers asking less than 200. If anyone wants a Scud. the Dealer I mentioned can likely get you one.
Isn't the F430 done next year anyway? I'd assume they'll do a lightweight version of the F450 or whatever's next.
Now that I'm looking at the pics... I am not surprised that they arent Scuds. If they were.... that would be some **** wouldn't it? And what's up with dealers listing non scuds as scuds. Common now.
Just by chance there are also 16 246's, 3 of which are at over 200K. How's that for wishful thinking? http://autos.aol.com/used-list/make1-Ferrari/model1-246/page-1
If you're serious pm me and I'll put you in touch but keep in mind he's going to offer you wholesale on your car which be less than you think it's worth.
I'm feeling very lucky as well as relieved to have found a buyer for "first money" that must not visit FerrariChat.
Jim is 100% correct, this is a crash. The market for second hand cars in Europe has collapsed. I can't even sell a Scuderia at list. Anyone in the US paying over MRSP now is absolutely nuts.
If its an unregistered Euro car might an ad here (especially with a plug in the 430 & Euro sections) and/or FOC and/or pistonheads be worth trying ?
Yeah have put one on Ferrari Ads. Cheers. Pistonheads you have to give a registration number, it's new and it doesn't have one....
did a search on 550's on that site. the majority of those cars are long gone and not for sale............ the same for other models ?
Wholesale on a trade is not bad if the price of the new car is right. It's the balance that matters. PM Sent
