To all of the Spider drivers, when the weather is Ok, how often do you drop the top, 50%,75 % of the time or never ? How about in the fall and early winter.

    Thanks,
    Edward

I live just outside London (Wentworth) and I have never used the car with the top up! I've done 800 miles only granted but never with top up. Now winter is coming I'll see what happens. I've driven the coupe and someone's else spider with the top up and you just don't hear that engine well enough!!

If it is sunny, the top is down. If it is cold, the heater goes on. Life's too short to drive with the roof up.

In the three months I've had my F430, the top has been down 100% of the time it's been driven. Too hot? Turn on the A/C. Too cold? Turn on the heater and wear something warm. Simple. Oh, ya.. I always use strong sunscreen and a hat.

Gotta love that wind in the face, warm sun, feeling of freedom, and wonderous NOISE as the tach rapidly approaches the redline. Can there be a better sound?

I also have a 2003 Maserati Spyder that I bought new. It has 17K miles on it and I would bet that only about 300 miles have been with the top up. That mechanism to raise and lower the top is bullet proof. I am the acid test.

I live in Scotland. Out of the 8000 miles covered, its been up about three times. (Although I always park with it up) I was out 10 days in January, hood down every time but heater on full blast and a decent jacket. (We had more good days in Jan than Aug this year).
    Topless is glorious.

Same here; that's the only reason why I click the post. Can i get my click back?

And I was all set to tell the story of one time when I was jogging and had a car full of girls pull up next to me, honk, I look over, and WOW!
As they sped off I noticed my pace picked up quite a bit. :)

My spider resides in maine. As long as there is no salt and no sand on the roads its topeless. Trying to get my wife to do the same. Will post pics if successful!

90% or more. The top is up when it rains or sometimes in the evening when it is cold and I don't feel like dealing with anything. Othewise, top is down.

100% as long as I'm not caught in the rain. Why drive it with the top up? Don't see the point.
