After seeing some parts firsthand with this finish--I had to have it. It is much more chip resistant than a smooth powdercoat. The finish cannot be scratched when cleaning the wheels, etc. It has a UV blocker built into the powder to help reduce the sun's damaging rays. It is just different and I like different. The best way to describe it would be a satin black wrinkle paint finish. I am sure it is not for everybody, hell I may not like it after I see it on the wheels, but I am willing to take that chance. My guy just did his wheels on his Dodge truck with the same finish, but a different color and it looked very nice...
Think I may do a package deal----Wheels, tires, center caps, wheel bolts--All you have to do is pull your wheel off and bolt this one on!!!
Thats right my friend .............. with that many options, there is no reason at all to go with anything other than .............. nero .........
+1 .......... Busy ........ very busy .............. though I think I have a window now to start on the monster 355 exhaust for my sled .....
Around US $500 normal post I reckon. Minimum! Express post, double it. Those pole smokers at RockAuto are stinging me US $44 express post for 4 gas struts.
Doh!! Sorry mate, didnt think to ask you. Are yours buggered too?? Mine are pretty much f*cked which is why I decided to get some. I thought about it, US $10 each, bah.........US $40 chump change. Then they sting me MORE to post the bloody things! Yeah brother. We are in the wrong business mate!
Finally back from powdercoat--The finish is not for everyone, but I like it. It is a textured(hard as nails) satin black finish. Looks awesome in person. Just ordered my new tires..Should have them on in a couple weeks.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Your right Robbie, the finish is not for every one, and unfortunately I don't like it, it might be better in person. Are they going to have to remove the finish where the tire seats on the bead? With a finish like that I would be concerned about the tire leaking....
air is not gonna leak out due to the texture. they look 'interesting' i really wanna see them mounted tho. yay you for leaping outside of the bandwagon tho!
Stickers on.... The texture looks really profound in a couple of those pics, it isn't as rough as it looks in the pics... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
