On the Mondial t Cab, found a Ferrari label that says:

    "VERNICIATURA ORIGINALE
    ORIGINAL PAINTING

Glasurit (r is hard to read and could be another letter)

    COLORE - COLOUR

    BIANCO FER 100"

    What is "Glasurit" ?

What is "BIANCO FER 100" ?

    Thanks,
    Dave

Greetings. Glasurit is the paint manufacturer and supplier. Bianco fer 100 is the paint code.. As per this decal your car should be white.

Any shop using Glasurit will be able to match the paint from a formulation in their data-base. Many other manufacturers will have a formulation as well, the code is the key for that particular formulation.

That is not to say that you can just mix and paint, the manufacturer of the paint also allows for certain fluctuations, albeit small ones, which may necessitate the paint to be slightly adjusted.

When painting, make sure you have a good quality paint, like Glasurit, RM, PPG. Cheap paint will fade and dull quicker, and after a year of use you may be seeing the fruits of your economizing efforts.

I think most paint suppliers use a machine that scans the paint on your car. If needed the paint supplier will adjust the original color to match your current car paint color

    That is what I did.

Had the paint scanned and touch up paint custom blended.

Wanted to touch up paint the scratches from where it was stolen.

Cost was less than US $30.

Then can spend the time/money on other things I want done.

After I take care of other things like cracked windshield from breaking in, wiped out lower grills, steering column covers from trying to drill out the ignition lock, replace stolen radio, etc., I will have the car repainted to origional specs.

Mechanically the car is better than new. Recent major with all the recommended Ferrari mods.
