Nice bikes. I'm currently wearing out a Suzuki GN250. Everyday transport to work and back ... poor thing does over 15,000 km's per year.

How do you like the 1098S? I have been looking at a 1098S but I don't know how people like them. Have you had any problems? Have you had a 999 or 998, 996, 916 before? How do they compare. Have you ever had/ ridden a MV 1000R, and how does it compare?

I love it! Sorry but I don't have any experiences comparable with this one. But I can say that I never could have imagined how intuitive the 1098 would be when it comes to handling and overall performance. To quote a fellow owner "I merely look at a corner and imagine a line from here to there and the 1098 simply goes there without any effort from me. How does it know?"

I've always wanted a Ducati Superbike but was put off by the maintenance schedules and pricing. That's been changed for 2007 and I prefer the styling over the 999 as well. My other bike is a 2001 Buell X1 which is similar to how the Monster was back then, so again, no comparison.

Although it’s a first year model and I have put on only 240 miles it’s been absolutely trouble free and much, much better than I ever expected.

You might want to check out the Ducati boards, I’m sure there are others who can answer some of your questions better than I.

I always said that the MV would be better compared to Lamborghini and Ducati to Ferrari. I have both and love them.

I only make the comment based on Ferraris minor involvement in the engine. I have a Duc also, probably prefer the MV over the Duc only for the engine note. personal preference only if its Italian its great. Hahaha, Regards Vern

Very nice bike I think the CBR, the new GSXR, and the new R1 are some of the best looking bikes produced. I want to pick up a 600 here soon. Heres my old YZ125

The 1098S is a nice bike and I might get one next summer or if I move to Vegas(so I can enjoy it more), but a bike that I will one day hopefully be able to afford is this one. About $60,000 for it though, which would almost make me cry if I highside it at a track day. Although the suspension and 200+hp, justifies the price in my mind.

My stuff, I am down to just one 500cc MX bike and no street bike now.
The mx bikes are 500cc two strokes in CR250 chassis. I had always been a 500 nut, so when the 250 kept being developed and the 500 fell out of production, I shoehorned a 500 motor into a new 250 chassis. Like a 6 liter V8 stuffed into a 2000lb car. Lots of fun, and I could get every start at the races. :)

Man that's beautiful! I had been looking of a black 907 I.E. for over a year, had a eBay search assistant for one as well. But I just bought the S4Rs...
