A few years ago we were in Paris off-season (early November). We rode the elevator up the Eiffel tower at night with an older Irish couple. Their daughter is a bartender we know pretty well at a bar down the street from where we live in Chicago.

Saw a chick I met at a book store in Glendale when I went back to Sri Lanka one time for vacation. That was weird I think I met her like the week before I departed. LOL.

My dad's side of the family (brother and cousins) moved to Connecticut from the Dominican Republic when he was really young. Most of them stayed there. My dad moved to Florida when he was about 20. He later met my mom, etc... He passed away 10 years ago. The bank called my mom one day b/c there was some sort of confusion with a check. They thought she was married to someone else that had the same last name that lived in the same neighborhood b/c the lat name is so rare. She said that wasn't her, but said her husband (my dad) had a brother with that name. The lady asked what my mom's husband's name was, my mom told her, and proceeded to say that he had passed away 10 years ago and was hit by a drunk driver. The lady told her that the uncle of the man she thought was my mother's husband had died the same way...as it turns out, my dad's brother named his son after himself and my cousin lives in the same subdivision and has been in the neighborhood directory for years! From the DR to CT to a tiny suburb of Orlando...pretty crazy. :)
