It's over folks: The FIA made the 2009 calendar official today and Canada is not in it.

That's right. French GP is also gone, which bums me out.

There were some smaller date changes in April, October and November, the most noticeable is the move of the Chinese GP into April.

Andreas - not completely true. The FIA shuffled some dates - the final calendar is in early December. Right now there is a three week gap in between Great Britain and Germany; and a four week break in the summer.

2009 FIA Formula One World Championship
    29 March Australia
    5 April Malaysia
    19 April China
    26 April Bahrain
    10 May Spain
    24 May Monaco
    7 June Turkey
    21 June Great Britain
    12 July Germany
    26 July Hungary
    23 August Europe (Valencia)
    30 August Belgium
    13 September Italy
    27 September Singapore
    4 October Japan
    18 October Brazil
    1 November Abu Dhabi

In regards to the race, they are trying to set up a non-profit company to run the race. The Cirque guy just met with Norman Legault in NY; the latest is that Laliberte (Cirque) would invest, as would Gillete the Montreal Canadians owner, and LeGault would run the company, with government support.......
    The clock is ticking though...

F1 is most likely done for me. What a waste of a series.

It is just not going to be the same without the annual trip to Montreal, this would have made my 15th time. Let's see the exciting races this year were Canada, Britain, Belgium, maybe Italy and Brazil. The boring processions were Bahrain, Valencia, Singapore and China. see a trend, replacing the classic circuits with these new exciting tracks makes sense for who other than Bernie (and maybe Tilke)?

It would be a great race, but it is a long flight from Florida to Australia. Maybe Spa.....

Here in Florida YETI's live & hide in the woods. I think we have a 5 day season for them . All you have to do is go down to Walmart and ask for a Shunk Ape stamp endorsement on your Shotgun/Rifle hunting license.
