You are good on camera Emil, very natural. You should do that more often.

Nice, comprehensive review. That 997 sounds fantastic.

Emil, I expect more from you in the future!

Very nice show, Emil. You should go back to your roots more often... unless it's Matt who's keeping you behind the desk... :)

And PDK is a beast. Can't wait to see them on the street. BTW: will it come in Turbo, or only C2/4? Because so far all tests/reviews I've seen were done in C4S.

The turbo and GT3 with PDK should be coming in 2010

I like how you made an effort to explain the more esoteric features and improvements of the car rather than give us the ding-dong version.

    Good job.

    emil,
great episode. really easy to follow.

i was wondering, does the pdk have any lag when you floor it? one thing that bothers me about my bmw DCT is if I am at a standstill and i floor it, there is about a 1.5 second delay (this is a common complaint). my launch control has zero delay. i thought the pdk seemed to have a delay on the launch. also, it looked like you down shifted multiple gears. in the m3, if i am in 5th lets say, floor it and then downshift, it will drop down the max number of gears-maybe 5th to 3rd. no need to double downshift.

Not a lot of lag -- especially in non-sport modes. Hammer down, and it shifts pretty quickly. Of course, the Carrera's not the pinnacle of performance in the 911 range, so it'll be interesting to see how this ttechnology evolves. Especially next week at the LA Auto Show...
