Anyone driving down from the NH/MA area? There is a rest stop a few miles past where 495 meets route 90 (on rt 90 i mean). I am shooting to be there for 7:30. If anyone wants to caravan down, meet me there.

Those not familiar with the Starbucks parking lot...Enter from the Cromwell ave entrance. The Elm st entrance is a little high and has scraped a few spoilers.

As a former Westporter, I sure wish we were living back in CT because I would love to take the TR on the backroads up through west CT. Maybe we should kick out our renters in westport and use the house as a summer home. :)

Wife wants to move back and do a post doc at Yale, maybe, just maybe.

Surprisingly good weather, fantastic cars and great people to hang out with again today. Here are some pictures for those that wanted to be there, but couldn't make it..... and for those that made it, it was nice to see you all there. We had cars from as far away as MA, VT and RI. Must have been 25-30 today! Let's hope we can do it again next week (long range forecast calling for 55 and sunny next Sunday).

I have been living in Cromwell for 3 years and surfered at the Ferrairchat for years, but I have never known this meet. It's only 5 mins down the street.
I am very glad to meet all you guys.

Uconn Husky: I really like your yellow 355. I guess you kinda pull me back to the 355 market again.

The lambo is really a party crusher!!

Great to meet a few new faces today. Thanks to all who contributed to the "Baby Heathers First College Fund"... you all are too generous. This is definitely a first class group! I immediately gave it to the wife for proper deposit into the 529 we will be starting. I always have to leave early and end up missing the party crashers... looks like I missed a Lambo today!!!

Great day with a couple of firsts.

First time I've ever seen an M500 in person - quite an automobile. Power to weight ratio that would make a sport bike envious. Finished in a lovely shade of blue. Thanks to Craig for bringing it out for everyone to enjoy and also for exercising the "boost pressure relief valve" on your departure.

First time I've ever seen a NASCAR Sprint Cup replicar complete with graphics and "stretched".
    Wheel base specification is unknown.
Power to weight ratio is also unknown.

Nice to meet "InTheFlesh" today. One can never know to many 355 owners. And I'd say that he gets the award for most miles driven. Bravo!!!

Yet another fantastic CT Ferrarichat gathering!!! I lost count, had a few come and leave during the morn. Off the top of my head...SIX 355's, 348, 328, 308, Testarossa, Noble M500, Lambo Murci, Viper, Lotus, Classic Audi (sorry forgot the model!), 3 Ducati's including a sweet 1098S, and a handful of Germans (Porsche's, BMW's, Mercedes').

Certainly big props to the out of staters who made it - Intheflesh all the way from NH, AVF from Mass, and the 'new' Murcielago (2nd day of ownership, CONGRATS!) from Rhode Island.

I still hope to make it over for a few more Sunday's...and looking forward to keeping the momentum rolling next spring. Maybe we can even have Napolis up with his new Alfa 8C!

    More shots from today

Pic 1 - the incomparable Noble

Pic 2 - Uconn's 355 juxtaposed with the fallen amber leaves. I do like the clear turn signal lenses. Looks very clean and integrated on the yellow car. I can't imagine the car with orange lenses.

PS Glad to hear drjess made it home with all extremities thawed and in good order. Autumn View Farm is counting on you for polo next season and you'll find functioning extremities to be very, very useful. We'll have your pony tacked up for you.

Wow, looks like you guys had yet another great meet!
I wish I could have been there. That is an incredible collection of cars! What is Starbucks going to do on Sundays without a parking lot full of exotics to lure people in?! If the weather holds off, is there a chance of another meet next Sunday? If not, I would say you saved one of the best for last!

Hi Pat...We missed you yesterday. It truely was a fantastic turnout.

This past weekend was the culmination of some effort to close the driving season with a bang. UConn Husky and MySlow1 did a superb job shaking the tree's and there efforts paid off in spades. Awesome job guys. We drew in some great people and incedible cars from relatively long distances. I count this as a huge success and look forward to next season in the hopes everyone will return.

I started this thing with the intent of hanging out with a few cool gentlemen that share my passion for exotics. I have found that there are more than a few cool ladies and gentlemen that not only share the passion but have been looking for a group of "real" people to spend some time with. No car snobs, no condesending propogandists, no club dues or duties. Our agenda remains as advertised, a "hang out" inspired gathering. The plan is to continue the gathering through the winter. First Snow will undoubtedly change the selection of cars that attend from the exotic to the mundane but the idea is comeraderie. I expect the numbers to withdraw to just a few committed buddies (buddies that should be committed). We are looking at a mid winter gathering at a semi local indoor Kart track to help break the monotony of the season of blahhh. Thats obviously gonig to have some fee's associated with it but what the hay, it winter.

is everyone having as much fun as I am?

    We are the Connecticut F-troop.

pleasure meeting everyone yesterday. It was said before and worth repeating again; this is such a great group of enthusiasts, no car snobs, etc. I look forward to meeting up again, if not this fall then definately in the spring.

That can't be right...The Hekawi are a Godless bunch and I'm sure she started with a reference to JC. Perhaps you mean't the tribe converted to Christianity by early settlers, The Fugawi...Yea...that must be it, you misheared.

Well I was great at following the leader, was on your tail right across the rumble strip between the exit and the highway. Kinda felt like Kimi crossing the white line leaving the pits...whoops!!! Hope the stewards weren't watching!

I'll be there, maybe in the STi depending on the rain.

Also for you other CT Tifosi, I've been working on a 2009 calendar kind of summarizing all the events we've had this year. Pictures are a compilation of ones from this thread and others, but all from these meets, drives, or shows we drove to. I'll have a preview tomorrow if you guys want to see it, I'm making it with Mpix. Cost seems like $20 each if we order 10 or less, then prices go down a little above 11. Don't worry, I resisted the urge to have a certain yellow 355 on every month :D Anyone interested? I'd like to discuss a bit tomorrow then have a pdf to send around by next week if anyone wants to go in and order one.

I won't be able to make it today (too many honey-do's and a run to Home Depot this morning on the basement project). Please send me the pdf though. It sounds cool.
