If you don't know the story, go the thread entitled "For those of you interested..."

The short version is this: Jim Shadow has taken on the job of hunting down Husker's 348 Challenge Grill prototype that is somewhere in Fort Wayne Indiana so that it can go back to Texas. This prototype is the DNA for future Challenge Grills for 348 owners, and it's mighty big of Jim to take on this hunt. If Jim is successful, the panel is being shipped back to Texas so that I can make a new mold and get crack'n on this!

Everyone wish Jim luck, and hopefully he will post on here the chronicles of his (hopefully) short search!

Here is what Jim is hunting down!

This looks great. I would totally convert my 348 if it's reasonably priced.

I stopped by the targets house....talked with him for 5 minutes. Claims that he has Fed Ex'd the package to Husker....He's supposed to call him with tracking numbers. We'll see if he does...

My work may or may not be complete. Stay tuned...

LOL. Jim's the man. Went to dude's house. lol.

I tried calling the guy numerous times throughout the day, evening, no avail. With any luck at all, the panel is in the mail. We'll find out if Jim is a good lie detector!!!

Everyone keep their collective fingers crossed, and a big, big thanks to Jim.

I would have done the same... except I would have demanded some proof of shipment from him then and there, or he'd have received a beat-down on his own front porch!

As it turns out, it appears the guy is lying. I called Fed Ex and there is no shipment in route to me at this time. :(

Update: Hired a private investigator. This could get interesting. This guy is totally avoiding me, and I'm getting ready to get really fired up now.

Just talked to the P.I., and I've offered him a bounty for the panel. He's on it.

What the H**L! Is this a Lambo militia hostage attempt or maybe even some disgusted 355 Klansman? Come home to Husker Mr. Grill... go get 'em Jim.

Truth be known, it's probably in China right now, being copied. Husker, you'll have to buy one when they come out from the Shanghi Grill Company.

Hopefully, you'll get it back ASAP...it's a good looking piece.

P.I. is on it. He went by the guy's house, girlfriend said "he's gone right now...he had to go to North Webster to get a Ferrari part to Fed Ex to a guy..." P.I. isn't quitting until we get a tracking number. He gets a few hundred $$ bills to get this thing resolved.

All this guy had to do was get me the part. Instead, he kissed away a legitimate business opportunity for himself and burned a bridge. Some people don't get it.

Holy crap! Have Magnum (the P.I.) or Jim camp out at the house until he returns. Or better yet, Have one of them watch the house, and anyone you can find to camp out at Fedex drop stations. What ever you do, DON'T let that ****** handle the shipment of the part, recover it there and have Jim or Tom (the P.I.) manage the shipment.

For the love of Pete, the guy has clearly been less that truthful with you!
