Lewis is old news now. For the next round of Bernies Circus he will bring in Danica Patrick to win the title.

You make some excellent posts, and it is very apparent that you have watched or followed F1 for a long time.

Thank you for the kind words. I am an F1 cultist. Have been watching since the early CBS/ABC coverage. Was so happy when ESPN started showing live races starting in '85. And even happier when Speedvision started showing all the races live. Have all races from that time period on, recorded and now transposed to dvd. Although I haven't missed a race in that time, and I won't, my passion is waning because of all the changes. I have great respect for the history of the series, and read all I can about it. The past is what gives me hope for the future. I can't wait til March!!

I don't think Mclaren was necessarily the best team, it was one of the two best teams. They won yes but as much as they put on excellent performances, Ferrari made mistakes that if avoided could have swinged the title in their favor. In my view, after a season long, both teams were at the same level.

As for Lewis domination I think it's more dependent on whether Mclaren will dominate F1 in the future. Hamilton is an incredible talent but so is Alonso, Kubica, Vettel and which ever Ferrari driver you like to add to the mix. Both Mclaren, Ferrari and recently Renault have had off years and there's little a driver can do.

Dennis is apparently not going to attend all races next season to focus on other activities at Mclaren. We'll see how the team copes. Hamilton will most likely win more titles but to me the real question mark is whether Mclaren can stay at the top of their game. Hopefully not so Ferrari can take all the titles :)

Hopefully BMW and Renault will step it up and make the series even better.

Good post. Only 5 wins this season is not exactly that great. Massa won more races but again we had a 1 point difference between 1st and second...Hmmmm. When we look at the past season as a whole, I would have to say that the best drivers were Massa followed by Lewis and very closely behind Alonso. Things just fell into place for Lewis in another scripted season. Next year will more than likely bring some very unexpected surprises which may inlcude Lewis not doing that great. The Bernie Mosley show will continue to control things untill the last race which will make in very hard for any particular driver to win. It will more than likely be a toss up between 4 drivers and one of them may be a surprise. No driver will ever be allowed to dominate and era ever again as long as the two amigos run the show.

depends on what car Kubica will get next year. the bmw will have pretty much most development put into it, combine this with the most consistend driver on the grid and you've got yourself an awesome combination:).

also watch the ferrari boys and possibly renault. I'm not forgetting vettel, but i have my doubt about red bull (and to be fair, like wise to renault).

and to add: if mclaren fails to make a competitive car, lewis can do all he wants but his car wont be winning (a la ferrari 2005)

Ive been down in Florida golfing, drinking, golfing, eating and golfing. :) Yep I watched the race down there. It didnt really matter who won. Im loosing interest. Still love the Ferrari mark but like I said before the two idiots are destroying the sport. Steve...dont get too excited......they wont let him win again......it will be many different winners that the idiots will have win in the years to come. They are going to lose many real hard core F1 fans but they dont care because they will get 3 times as many fans that like close socalled non-predictable race endings.

Thanks for the offer Scott, but I'm not a betting man, and it's just as well when the suits decide who win races ..;)

What you betting anyway, you know I'd win anyway..;)

It can't get any worse can it, trouble is Bernie & co will have thought this year was a big hit!!

And for the fair weather fans, maybe it was.

The offer was going to be! I take Ferrari and either KR or FM as drivers champ. You obviously have Mclaren and either driver (I refuse to mention them by name LOL). If neither of us win its a push. If you win I pay for your dinner with your significant other. I win you pay for mine. Just a friendly wager. Winner that would be me by the way, goes out to dinner with my wife and sends the copy of the receipt to you and you must repay. Of course if somehow you got lucky and won I would pay you the amount you spent. Thats all nothing extreme!!
