I nave no idea what the AA man was doing. I do know that the AA was with the car the whole time, just incase he would be needed. When I spoke to the Top Gear producer he said that all was well and the filming went to plan with no problems. I'll find out when I take the car to the studio on Wednesday 26 November. GUYS, PLEASE NOTE My car will now be shown on TOP GEAR on Sunday 30 November and NOT on the 7 December as originally stated.
Guys, this is a photo of my "pride and joy". When I was 18, I had my first drive in a Ferrari. It was in South Africa, and it was a Daytona the same as mine. I remember thinking...... one day.................. and then 32 years later my dream came true. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awesome car, must be amazing to think that when you were 18 years of age you drove one of these things, and then years later your dream came true. What a dream to become true for you. I wish you many years of fun and happiness with your car, and i only wish that one day i could be so lucky.
Sorry for the hi-jack but it is Top gear..related. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Of course, Adrian!! My apologies. The C type was driven by Hamilton Senior (Duncan) & Tony Rolt during their 1953 triumph. The company which he set up to deal in classic & competition cars is Duncan Hamilton & Co Ltd, Duncan passed away several years ago and is now run by his son, Adrian. I knew what I meant. Paul
Unfortunately, BBC America does not air the same current shows here as they now airing in the UK...at least I don't think they do.
I will look forward to this, for once a truly interesting car on Top Gear. You are a brave man to allow them your pride and joy. I know the owner of a Pantera GT5 they crashed when filming many years ago, and they had to shell out close to 50k to get the car repaired. You Daytona is a beautiful car in a class colour Steve
My Daytona left for the Top Gear studio on a transporter today. It will be in the studio tomorrow for the filming, and then shown on Top Gear on Sunday (30 November). I can't wait to see the show on Sunday.
may should have had a riva aquarama would match the daytona's class better. looking forward to the show!
I agree although the XSR does look like a mega powerboat. Hopefully the Top Gear Tradition of the car beating the other form of transport will continue!
