I'll be there as well. The meet location is the Osthoff resort in Elkhart Lake, Road America is the track.

Miriam and I are planning to attend. Working on the items to attend to have the car ready for the concours. I hope we can have a decent contingent from St. Louis make it up.

Thanks for the info - I will call the hotel and make a res for that time period so I don't get stuck staying a ways away. How is the track they are using? I am from the Florida Keys and have never actually tracked outside Florida

Regarding the Osthoff: They are negotiating a special event rate you could wait for if you want to. Also there are other hotels in the neighbourhood (right next door in Elkhart Village or 20 minutes away in Sheboygan, e.g. the Blue Harbor).

Road America is an absolute delight of a track. It is easily one of the best tracks in the US with lots of different corners, real elevation changes, plenty of vegetation and racing history: Until recently CHAMP was a regular there and ALMS uses it, to name a few. It is a fantastic place for racers and spectators alike, you're in for a treat.

Many believe Road America is the best road course in the US. You won't be disappointed.

I called the hotel today and made a reservation for a 2 bedroom suite - beautiful suites! They have full kitchens, balconies etc. They already have bookings so if you all know you are going it might be a good idea to make a reservation. I am bring Adam Andretti with me as my coach- should be a blast - he has run the track many times - says it is awsome!

While at the Osthoff you are only a block away from Siebkens Resort which has one of the best racing themed bars. Back in the "old days" of the RA 500, Can-Am and Trans-Am that is where all of the drivers would stay and hang out. The old street courses through town and the countryside are well marked and you can see where they used to race in the early 50's before Road America was built.

The Osthoff is nice, as is the entire town of Elkhart Lake- lots of racing history, and you're 5 minutes from Road America, which is a lovely track.

To participate in the event you need to be a FCA member. But you don't need to be an owner to become a member.

The Concours is accessible for the public, no membership required and I would assume that applies also to going to Road America as a spectator.

You are welcome either way. As a member you simply have more options of where to participate.

I was a member of the FCA years before I got the car. I joined the FOC when I had the car thinking that ownership was a requirement (the name kinda stipulates it), but learned quickly that ownership wasn't a requirement either.

They were talking about a run on the old street course during the event.
I think it was to be in honor of Phil Hill who said many times that the Elkhart Lake street course was his all time favorite. It is very wooded and has alot of elevation changes.

I have been to every major road course in the country and one Canadian track. Elkhart Lake is the best looking and nicest North American track hands down. Its so nice and green and BIG!!

The 512BBLM will be the featured car of the event (as indicated in the latest FCA newsletter).
