Dan - Do you recall that when you came on this site, one of the first things you did was to get involved in a pyramid scheme? You got a lot of advice about what was wrong with that business model and eventually you learned enough to swear off that get-rich-quick idea and even point to that episode as an example of how much you've learned/grown. Guess what, you haven't learned as much as you think. It still looks like you're hooking up with folks who seem attractive to you because of certain things (money, lifestyle, connections, opportunity) and then do their dirty work while they sit back and collect the benefits. Don't be a stooge.
Thanks for the advice. I respect those who I have posted this for but at the same time realize now that if I am not part of it, don't be involved in it.
Listen to Yin, Dan. You maybe should swear off the internet for a few years. It has not been good to you. That you have been listening to people that are pretty obviously from your words lying to you is, actually, amazing.
I have seen this story posted on every forum 200,000 times. Hell, I even saw it posted on DIGG. All with a link back to that Lambo forum. It may be true. But something's rotten in Denmark.
I got ripped off in an Egyptian Pyramid Scheme a few months out of college, so I feel your pain, dbaker89. And let me tell, you, nothing makes your Sphinxter pout when you see that not only your bank account has been drained, but everything else as well. 401's 402, 403's all wiped out. Luckily, I happened to be under the employ of a finance person that would later become my mentor. "Tut-tut," he told me, and offered some wisdom; people lose large amounts of money every day, and only the most resilient of market Pharaohs bounce back. The rest, he told me, go on to mismanage retirement funds yet still get a cut of the non profits of such. He then told me to look west, towards the potato farms of Idaho and at the spinach farms of Nevada. I broke from sound knowledge of the establishment and looked east: from the asparagus farms in Arkansas and the lima bean fields of green in Minnesota, and further East to the prosperous fields of brussels sprouts in upstate New york. I have done well in the niche of unloved vegetables, but only because of my belief in the truth and purity of them and my astounding ability to sell them when the markets for them are flat. Beyond that, I have learned that once a shister, always a shister, and the modes of shisterness never ever really change. The words change but the language remains static, and painfully so. I leave you with a little story. I was 25, maybe 26 and some guy in a bad suit approached me in a mall bookstore as I was flipping through the pages of some magazine. He was fat, balding in a not very nice way, had an unpleasant sheen of sweat on his face and he smelled of cheap polyester and too much aftershave that his wife got him from an Avon sales book. He gave me the sales bit...buy this, do that, become part of a new movement that, this, blah blah. Become rich, do fabu...blah blah blah... He'd picked me out because of my overworn jeans, terribly bare of thread sweater and shoes that clearly have done one mile too many. I simply asked him how many successful corporations recruit newbs in bookstores. He looked at me with a dazed look, pupils slammed shut and waddled off in a daze. And I have to ask myself, why do you think Ferrarichat is populated by newbs in a bookstore? Just curious.
Top work. Alarm bells rang for me when in that forums.officer thread the OP mentioned that Dwight Etchinson(with Engrish) owns Network Solutions which is one of the biggest domain name registration companies(was worth $21billion in 2000 when VeriSign bought them) . *********.com was also only registered in May this year so to drum some traffic up decided to make this **** up. (the OP of the thread is also the admin on the site and if he was really legit about it he would make the thread open to the public not force ppl to register). I don't know if dbaker89 is involved in anyway, he does have 215 posts on that site so he prob just saw the thread and decided to forward the info on(as u do). /end thread.
Gus has played stupid games before... so who knows if this is even true? And frankly, who cares? If true, he pays the price for being the boy who cried wolf. I just don't care about it.
+1. Uzy is a great guy and he has been trying to get his daughter back for quite some time. I hope Gustan gets his money back but MOST important I hope Uzy gets his daughter back
Uzy has always been respectful and it is sad that there are people here on this very forum that can be cruel and refer him as a Pakistini guy. I think that type of sarcasm is uncalled for. Not to mention names, but picking on Dan Baker and crushing the kid and threatening him that he is selling unauthorized products was very low. Why dont you grown ups pick on people that deserve to be picked on and not an innocent 19 year old college student.
Dan, you have done nothing wrong. Don`t listen to those miserable people that don`t have a life. Disregard their comments. There are alot of cruel people in this society. You have done the right thing.
If you have committed any wrongdoing, Ferrari will let you know. No offense, but you are a little too small for Ferrari to be coming after you with their team of lawyers. Don`t mind the miserable SOBs that make fun of you. They are just jealous.
