Make sure to buy the "good" stuff as far as clothing and gear go. Buy stuff with Gore-tex or extensive waterproofing. If you're going in December get gear with high wind rating, so that you don't freeze. Googles, hat or ski cap, gloves, underwear. Make sure you spend the money on these items, forget about the board and bindings, rent them. Also, boots, try them on at the store with proper snowboarding socks, walk around in them and feel comfortable, make sure these are extremely comfortable and fit well, you will have these on for 6-10 hours on each day. I have a pair of Burton boots with the speed lock lacing system and they are great, you can loosen them up when you're at the lodge and they are easy to tighten, you don't even need to take off your gloves to do this. You're gonna have a blast, went last year in March for a week to Park City, UT with my girlfriend and we both had a blast. Have fun, stay safe. Oh, one more thing, don't buy lift tickets at the outside shops if you are planning on taking lessons, the lessons will include the lift tickets for the mountain and you'll be covered for the day.

    Thanks.

One of my friends that set the trip up got all of that set up for us already. All I have to do is show up. Which is nice because I'm use to being the one doing all the planning, reservations, etc. Nice to just sit back and relax.
