Daytona on Top Gear

The best car and review on top gear for years,a great looking car and even greater classic.

There's a nice story about the words Hammond wrote in the copy of his book that he left in the car too. This Daytona is the best example I've ever seen and its owner really does drive it in the way it should be driven - I enjoy the sheer occasion of going out in it. Best bit is it still produces 352 bhp on the rolling road, 36 years after it rolled off the line!

 

This episode was awesome! Also with the car. Nothing could take my eyes out of your car. You must be proud with her.

Thank you for loaning Top Gear your very beautiful car. It was an excellent feature they did.

But I have one question? What's it like knowing that a very small man with very small teeth is falling in love with your Italian stallion?

 

Watching that fantastic episode, I'd thought "wow, would be funny if the car was owned by an FChatter". Well, looks like I was right


Do you know what the issues with the police were? I can't really believe that the Italian police stopped a BBC film team to investigate if the car was rightfully in their hands... not that I'd suspect Top Gear of scripting things

 

I was amazed to see this car after all this time, when it showed the car I guessed the reg, from just looking at the side profile from the colour, as I have driven this car. Albeit it will be about 8-9 years ago. It looks just as good now as it did then.

I keep promising to get digital copies of my old photos, and one day I will.

Hey Anthony, the Daytona looks lovely. You have obviously done a lot to it since it left my garage in Surbiton. It looked fantastic in the South of France sun. Hope all's well.

Did TopGear contact you, or did you contact them?

 

I have just been out and bought the Jan edition, and it say's, it's in the Feb's edition, out on Jan the 2nd.

 

Just like cars in the USA, they sell the 2009 model in july 2008
