They shatter the image you were trying to form in our minds by placing a copy of the WSJ on your desk.

True. But the folded one is

Besides, it was $170 down from $375 ;)

What image would that be? I'm a cold hearted person like most big wigs in the banking/finance industry? I'm not embarassed to have them there so whatever

The WSJ really was just sitting there. I get it delivered every day.

    ;)

I noticed that you have a PS III, I was wondering if you have ever had any problems with it overheating and the motor going out on you? I have looked in a few forums about PS III and a few people are members of a post called YLOD. (Yellow Light Of Death)
They are saying that after a year that the main light turns yellow and the PS turns itself off and never starts up again even if they let it set a cool down. A few of them have said that they contacted Sony about it and they said that there was nothing that they could do because the warranty expires after 1 year. I think the reason was overheating of the system. I want to get one but sure don't want to pay the $400.00 for one and have this happen.

    Thanks!

This is a link to a video on UTube about it:

Not sure of the exact issue, but I remember hearing about there being an issue with the 40gig models. At least the first released 40gigs.

My 40GB had that problem. It just died, and wouldn't start back up. I did some research and it turned out it was just a hard drive crash. I'm under warranty so I got a brand new one. Never had any other problems. Just keep it cool, and you should be fine. I need to buy the extended warranty as well. Would be a good investment.

Never had a problem with it and i even bought it used. I got it for Christmas last year. My roomate who works at gamestop said that the overheating issue only affected the 40gb models. You can tell that i give mine some space. The fan comes out the right side of the PS3 and there's about 2 inches of clearance between the opening and my TIVO. Its also on the glass base. I've heard the PS3 runs a lot cooler standing up (and gets better wifi too) but i don't know this for sure. I have no way to stand it up (and mine is connected via ethernet). I think as long as you're careful and don't put it on carpet and block the fan, you'll be fine. There are aftermarket fan accessories but i highly recommend you stay away from them. I've heard stories about the fans in the aftermarket addons failing and blocking the PS3's main fan and causing it to overheat. Sony designed the PS3 to work and i'd let it do its job without overly complicating matters.

btw, the 60gb is the most desirable because it was the best backwards compatible (PS1 and PS2 games) model. The new PS3's can't even do it

btw(2), its a long shot (and AMEX may have changed their policies now) but if you have the Amex Gold card (or higher) and purchase anything on it, they (AMEX) add a year to the manufacturers warranty on whatever you buy. I've never had to deal with them about it but it you're really that worried, maybe you should look into it and you'd end up with a 2 year warranty on the PS3 (assuming the Sony 1 is a year. I didn't know they offered warranties). Best Buy also might offer some kind of extended warranty. Gamestop only offer a year

I really doubt you'll have the problem. I've never even heard of it before now. Now the RROD on the XBOX360's is another story....

Haha, good to see my friend! Those fold up ones are great except some don't have that "Bounce" to them.

Anyone got a T-amp amplifier? I just bought a pair of Scandyna Micropods (Google it) have ordered a Sonic Impact Generation 2 T Amplifier! My third stereo, will be used on the Pioneer plasma :) The lighting is too bad for my poor cameras blitz function, but as soon as is gets more sunny outside I'll snap som photos and post them here.
