    God... I miss:

    1) Running across the grass to my neighbors porch to ring the doorbell and ask if Ken can come out to play... I don't think I have rung a doorbell in decades...

    2) Miss going to the cool kids house to watch MTV...

    3) Miss my three speed schwinn bike, with the huge grab bar on the back...

    4) Miss going to the gym because it made me look bigger... rather than lowering my risk of CAD... and stroke...

    5) Miss my Atari... remember playing it for hours... then days...

    6) Miss sitting on a 100 degree sidewalk, wearing swimming shorts, andfilling the pool with a hose...the anticipation...

Mostly, I miss having free time. Having entire weekends with nothing planned. Being able to go skiing, biking, or out to the movies on a whim. I miss not having bills to pay, college to fund, and retirement to support. I miss the natural pleasures of a stress free nonobligatory life with a boundless future soaked in optimism... :)

Hmmm. just thought about something. There was this space food, it was like an orange stick that was maybe a bit softer than a tootsie roll. Anyone remember those.

Haha ... so funny to see this. I'm only 23 so this is before my time, but I know somebody who has roughly 30 of the flying thingies and a bunch of the tank ones (And I'm pretty sure he also has that gold one)

I'm almost 50. When I was a kid, toys back then made you think. One of my favorites was the Erector Set. Give it a Google. Steel girders with nuts and bolts to build buildings, trucks and stuff. Lots of fun that created creativity. No flashy electronics, nothing you had to learn from a 50 page instruction book!

My all time favorite toy was this Mattel, Made in the USA 'Agent Zero' spy camera / cap gun that I still have. For those familiar with Citizen Cane, this is my 'Rosebud'!

Yep... hard to believe, I know :).

John lived across the street, Doug had MTV and a mutt dog that kept biting people. To get to Dougs house you had to go through the "forest" (ie. An undeveloped block in the subdivision).

The lithuanian kid living on the corner was called...wait for it... Dino :). His sister was fairly hot but didn't age well. His dad kept yelling at us for stepping on the grass...

Chuck was the older brother to Ken. He was the one getting la*d all of the time with the hot older chicks... Never understood how he managed it, but he had the skill.

20 years later Chuck introduces me to my current wife... who he never dated... Said he gave up on her because she just wouldn't go out with him...

    So, there you have it...

Maybe you don't know but that whole "it was so ______________ I **** my pants" line, that is just a figure of speech. You aren't suppose to take that literally. But who's to tell I may be wrong and I certainly don't have anywhere near the same experience as someone with 40k posts. ;) :D

What did I enjoy as a kid but cannot get anymore...

    High School Girls.

You can still get them but the price for you has just gone up, like 5-10 as a guest of the state prison.
