Pre-politically correct Tex Avery, Looney tunes, and Popeye cartoons. What a pity the world has lost it's sense of humor.

and action movies with real stuntmen and explosions instead of obvious, overblown and just plain stupid CGI effects combined with corporate product placements in every scene.

Sometime in the future, historians will look back and say this is the "dark ages" of movie making, sighting Transformers as an example of a low point in movie making.

    Look at this photograph
Everytime I do it makes me laugh
I realise I get so mad
And what the hell is on Joey's head

This is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we'd ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneaking out

This is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must have done it half a dozen times

I wonder if it´s too late
Should I go back and try to graduate
Life's better now than it was back then
If It was then I would have let me in

    Oh oh oh
    Oh god I... I

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo albums spread
    out on my bedroom floor
it´s hard to say it, time to say it
    Goodbye, goodbye

Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend
    that I was looking for
it´s hard to say it, time to say it
    Goodbye, goodbye

    Remember the old arcade
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin' out
They say somebody went and burned it down

We used to listen to the radio
And sing along with every song we know
    [ Find more Lyrics at www.mp3lyrics.org/va ]
We said someday we'd find out how it feels
To sing to more than just the steering wheel

Kim's the first girl I kissed
I was so nervous that I nearly missed
she´s had a couple of kids since then
I haven´t seen her since god knows when

    Oh oh oh
    Oh god I...I

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo albums spread
    out on my bedroom floor
it´s hard to say it, time to say it
    Goodbye, goodbye

Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend
    that I was looking for
it´s hard to say it, time to say it
    Goodbye, goodbye

    I miss that town
    I miss their faces
    You can´t erase
    You can´t replace it
    I miss it now
    I can´t believe it

    So hard to stay
    Too hard to leave it

If I could I relive those days
I know the one thing that would never change

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo albums spread
    out on my bedroom floor
it´s hard to say it, time to say it
    Goodbye, goodbye

Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend
    that I was looking for
it´s hard to say it, time to say it
    Goodbye, goodbye

    Look at this photograph
Everytime I do it makes me laugh
Everytime I do it makes me

    Laugh....

When I first started driving and my A/C needed a charge, I could buy cans of R12 for under $1. Today you have to be a licensed technician to even buy it, and if you release a gram of it into the atmosphere the EPA sends a firing squad.

Oh man, I use to have all the equipment back in the day to do all the work on the central air systems. I had at least 20 of the large, propane size canisters, of the coolant. Just before they changed the laws I gave all the tools and canisters away to a company who got their license to do the work. Do you know what just one canister is worth today?

My brother and I ordered a "poo-poo" cushion from the same place, ca. 1959, and put it under my dad's easy chair seat before he came home from work and sat for his usual drink. Just kid stuff, but the fireworks were fun...that was the worst ime of day to do a practical joke on him.

When I first started driving most cars didn't have A/C. Nor power windows, power seats, power door locks and a power antenna.

And colour TV was also a rarity. Somehow, I still think black and white tv and movies added more impact to what we viewed, since it created an aura of something beyond reality!
