My stepdad is looking into doing the Supercar Sensation program. He's spoken with them, but I wanted to see if anyone here had any expertise on it. I know there is also the World Class Driving, is it better/a better value? I may do it as well depending on the schedule.

    Thanks in advance.

Can't say, but Supercar Life is a good way to try these cars out in the proper environment! :D

Damn that looks sweet. He's done M school, so I know he'd be into that, too bad they don't do VIR or Road Atlanta.

Also, I just noticed World Class is $1500, so I guess the value question is is it worth the extra scratch?

If you're going to do the Supercar Sensation drive, I recommend a Driving Tour. I did a full day mountain tour with them, and we had a blast. They have the following new cars in which you will get tons of seat time: Mercedes C63 AMG, BMW M3, Porsche 911 Turbo, Aston Martin Vantage Roadster, Nissan GTR, Lamborghini Gallardo, and Ferrari 430 Coupe. All have their own derivative of the paddle shifters... no manual stick shifts.

You'll definitely get a better chance to explore the capabilities of each car on a Tour vs. the 4 or 11 mile drives around the mall. These shorter local test drives are a great way to see if you'd like to do the longer Tour.

My advice on the Tours (based on my last photo above) is to NEVER double back on a road that you've already driven.

I've done the Supercar Sensation as well. Lots of drive time over a variety of great roads. It's also a fantastic way to "test drive" a couple of cars you might have in mind for purchase without the hassles of the dealer test drive. David is a great guy and his "experience" lets you really sample the cars the way you would if you owned them yourself.

Sounds like Supercar Sensation is a great deal. I'd take BrianC's advice.

No tickets the day we went on the Mountain Tour, but the cops around Blowing Rock/Boone were not pleased to see the cars in their fair towns! They stopped us once just after our lunch, then we had a small run-in at the gas station because the station attendent would only allow us to fuel one car at a time even though it was all going on David's c-card... the cops were called on us there for some unknown reason.

The Parkway is completely off limits, and I believe David S (Supercar Sensation owner) has decided not to return to either Boone or Blowing Rock. The last time we were pulled (the photo) was in Lincoln County near East Lincoln High School on Hwy 73. They were a bit more understanding, but I still wouldn't push the issue. Both times we were pulled were after doubling back.

Still, the event was great fun. Definitely not the caliber of cars that World Class driving has, but it is local to Charlotte and a lot less expensive.
