    I thought it would be a great idea to have a community review of various models. So to start, here are some shots of the Make Up and the Kyosho 512BB. If you can take similar photos of your BBR, MR, Looksmart or any other version, please do and add on to this thread...

    Aside from the build quality and detail, between the Kyosho and the Make Up, I've already noticed somes differences in the features on the cars. Of note, the side mirrors and rear engine vents are different - maybe a difference in target market or year? Can anyone shed some light?

    Of course, the Kyosho has operating features like a opening front and rear... And even though I don't have undercarriage shots, the Kyosho's undercarriage wins hands down :)

    My exposure is a bit off on some of these making the red look far pinker than they actually are.

    Kyosho and Make Up are totally different, hardly comparable..
    Nice pics though!

    I agree with morrian1, these two are not comparable.
    You should compare the MakeUp with a BBR version.;)

    I agree. But I just wanted to be able to show the variation in build, accuracy and quality for what you pay for. I hope someone else can post photos of the BBR or other versions... I'm not about to go buy one :)

    I'll tell ya, considering the huge difference in price, I think the Kyosho is 80% as nice.

    That's probably true in general in the scale model world... If you look at the latest IXOs that you can get for $25 (no counting the grey market factory seconds/counterfeits). They are quite good already and certainly are good enough for most who just want a good replica of the real thing without spending $200-300 per model. You could get 6-8 IXOs for every MakeUp or BBR...

    At some point, I'll do a comparison of the IXO with the Kyosho and Make Up - though not likely of the same car... Unless someone wants to send me one...
