I know you remove the two rubber plugs. There seems to be some type of push on nut that attaches to the studs. How do you get it off without loosing the nuts... & are there 2 studs or 3 on the script?

Thanks Ernie... I know the nuts your talking about but these look like there plastic & they might push on.

Whats the best whats to get them off you only have a dime sized hole to work in (I don't want to loose them)
I tried needle nose pliers but I could not open them far enough.
Do you know if there are 2 or 3 studs on the script.
there is only 2 studs on the 308 & 328 script.

if you loose them inside the hole it would be a bear to get out

    They are not nuts.

Use a bit of a punch, and just PRESS the silver posts of the emblem skyward. The gray aluminum piece will break/bend apart, and allow the emblem to be removed. Use care.

An alternate method is to use a tiny tin-snip and cut the grey aluminum piece until it basically releases the emblem. The emblem has smooth posts, not threaded. Those little clips are shown here:

The spring clips also can be "removed" by a dental pick or like tool. In the past I used the pick to gently pry open the clip at the same time pushing the post of the emblem. You can not or should not reuse the clips.
