"is the countach a QV or 5000S? carbed car?"

The Countach is a downdraft carbed QV. Originally purchased by Alpine NA, for use in their ad campaign. As far as I can tell this was the only Alpine car purchased by the company.
The DD is very rare in north America. (only 12-14 in US, and a few in canada).

This particular example is extremely fast. On 20 year old tires, it ran a 11.4 in the quarter mile. The test was done in conjunction with a story about the car for the Discovery Channel called "ten best sportscars." They ran the car on the drag strip against a new Enzo. Out of 5 times, this car, on 20 year old rubber, with me driving (first time on a drag strip), beat the Enzo 2 out of the 5 runs.

Having seen and taken her for a short drive I can say she's very special.

Hopefully Gary has fixed the slight vibration in the left front wheel/tire at speeds over 155 mph :)

Cockpit feels very much like a Ford GT 40 MK I.

    Best!!

John, you seem really into Lamborghinis. Is that a Silhouette I see, or is it a Jalpa...? Sorry, I don't know my Lamborghinis too well.

    John,

Your car is absolutely stunning! Was the car a victim of Katrina?

    More photos please.

    Thank you!

very nice weber QV: one of the best countach ever imo
i think i have recorded this video...they talked not so good about the countach and complained the car did not aged so well and was the "gold medallion" car....i do not agree
it was you driving the car?

in my experience a good tuned downdraft, xpecially with a sport exhaust, is a serious fast machine...still i cannot believe it can get close to an enzo or to 11s in the quarter :-o

not me to choose but imo it would be very easy to answer to this question

    VTTT: not a factory car
reventon: overpriced for a simple LP640 with a bodykit

that diablo roadster R is a one off factory car that is pretty different from regular production models
imo it is MUCH more interesting than the revolting!

:). Bobileff went completely threw her and she drives amazing now totally different. As you know there is good reason the cockpit feels like a GT 40.

Next time you are in New Orleans, you need to take her for a proper spin. This time you will not be limited to driving her 155 and have to jeapordize your nickname.

As for the rest of my friends, your welcome to stop by anytime you are in new Orleans. Soon the cars will be joined by some special additions, including a freshly restored 400 Interim (one if 23), the Roaster R, and the only Lamborghini F1 car outside of the factory museum.

My brother drove the car during the Celebration event, he said he didn't notice the vibration, at least not while doing donuts in the parking lot ;)

BTW when are we going to see the P4/5 at Celebration?

Just watched the opening scene again from the original Italian job movie with the kids. A must for every miura owner.

John do you stll do the ferrari event in New Orleans. I went to Tulane in the early 80's and would love to return to the area in my Boxer for some fun.
