stripe or no stripe on my 348

  1. Keep the stripe

  2. Don't put a stripe on it

  3. Looks good either way

I love the stripe! I want to know how you put it on; is it paint or stick on graphics?

The existing stripe was a vinyl graphic. It looked good from a distance, but from close up it looked cheap. I wouldn't put a graphic on there again.

It's either a painted stripe or nothing.

Paint Away, and IMHO I like the red outline, but without it is ok too. Either way, the first time I saw a picture of your car on here, I thought, "man that stripe is sweet!"

Stripes are just up to date, but it ll become quickly part of the past .Ferrari is a classic design, and you should keep it.

The car looks good either way, but the car does not have the best lines to have stripes...

Get rid of the stripe! That would make mine even more rare later this year when I get mine resprayed with the scuderia stripe!!! lolololol
Personally I've been doing the same thing as you on looking up all variations of the racing stripe and I got to give you some props your pictures are saved on my computer because its the only variation of that color and stripe I have found on the internet. How many 348 scuderia like paint schemes have you seen out there? Yours is the only one I've been able to find. I have a 355 so no worries on a complete copy over here on this side of the pond. It's a hard call to make, but I love the racing look of the 430 scuderia's black with silver so keep the stripe but do add the red if you put it back on, that makes it look sharp! Best of luck in your choice, either way it's gonna look great with some new paint.

can't you get a better quality vinyl stripe? My mini's stripes were vinyl and it was hard to tell, looked great. This way if you are sick of it, you just yank it off.

If you must paint, I'd say no stripe.

You need a better vinyl stripe. The CS stripe is vinyl, so is the scud. Then it becomes a no brainer, as you can remove it anytime you want.

Mine is vinyl, and was a test run. I am getting ready to redo it with a slightly different stripe. Again, that's the beauty of the vinyl!

I would NOT paint it on. Vinyl = no issues. Paint = no sale.

Paint it black with no stripe, THEN put the sticker back on.

Just got off the phone with Al.

I just can't make up my mind as to stripe or no stripe and which mettallic shade to use. I keep changing my mind every few hours.

So.... I've just told him to do whatever he wants to the 348. He'll decide:

    • Wether to put a stripe on or not,
    • If there is a stripe, he'll choose the stripe colours
    • He'll also select which metalic colour paint to use (99% sure it won't be a Ferrari colour)
Guess I'll find out in 4 weeks what it'll look like.

I like the stripe with the grey/red combo, and if I were you I wouldn't leave this decision to someone else it might end up in heart ache.

I asked him the cost of removing the stripe later on and it's so cheap I figure might as well get the stripe done and get it out of my system. :D

Very curious to see how he'll change the stripe though.

The stripes are BAD A55 and set your 348 apart from the rest all around the world. They look cool and you had the balls to do it before anyone else. Definitely keep them!

Sorry guys... I've decided against the stripe.

I was 50/50 on wether to have it, but everyone hates the idea.

I'm also thinking it may look out of place on the gloss black. :(

So you had a totally original metallic black w/Stradale Stripes and now you're going to have a generic black 348?
