The Ferrari Owners Club of San Diego has arranged a special area/concours for our cars. I've attended this event several times - hard to improve on the location, on the lawn right above La Jolla Cove. Last year there was a nice selection of vintage exotics (Miura, Daytona, Countach, etc.), also lots of vintage Jags, '60s Corvettes, Alfa Romeo, etc. They are selective about what gets shown. It's an absolute treat.

Anyone is welcome to drop by - admission is free. If you want to exhibit your Ferrari, drop a note to Gary4RE on FChat, our FOC president. I think the deadline has been extended and there may be a couple of places left.

Admission is no longer free--starting this year ($20 at the gate).
Still, I must agree: a very worthwhile show, nice mix of cars, all nicely restored, beautiful setting.
I've always enjoyed the show, I think I've been to every one of them.

Oops, looks like you're right. $15 advance/$20 at the gate.

BTW, our FOC president said we have room for more Ferraris, so anyone in San Diego with a show-level car should consider registering (contact Gary4RE here on FChat). Given the parking situation in La Jolla for this event, it's almost worth entering a car to have a reserved parking space on the lawn...

I'm an FOC member and did not see it on the event list

How did you hear that FOC was participating?

I only found out about it when I stopped by FoLJ today. I asked about club grouping and participation and they said that none of the clubs were doing anything for this. Probably a simple case of not knowing.

    Hi guys,

Yes, we (FOC SD) did not have our web site up to date with regards to this event. Contact Gary and he can email you a sign up form which you can then FAX over. You don't have to be a member of FOC to display your car with us in this event, but hopfully if you are not a member, you will want to join after talking to some of the other members. Weather is going to be really good this weekend too.

I'll will make an extra effort to keep the web site up to date and the local Ferrari community aware of what we are doing.

It was borderline hot today in Scripps. Should be very pleasant tomorrow.

I'm glad to see FOC participating in this event - it's one of the highlights of the San Diego car event calendar, IMO, and in the best location in the county.
