Simply AMAZING! I wish I had the skill and patience! How long did it take you to complete the two? Probably more efficient since they are similar, you can use an assembly line approach to reduce set up time for each individually.

Thanks, yeah, it is easier to build two. It took me about 14 months.

Yeah, I'm mostly recovered. Working on that 166MM right now. But it is still very early in the process.

Saw this on AF, and has to be one of my favorite builds. Are you going to enter in in AFMOTY???

    BEAUTIFUL work man!

I almost bought one of those, I just felt the nose looked to "high" or something, like it was too high from the bottom to the area above the headlamps....

It might be the pictures, it looks fine to me.. Although, I haven't measured it to confirm how accurate it is.

Thank you all, your comments are much appreciated.

I think the overall shape looks pretty good. Perhaps the front splitter could be closer to the ground, but the height may be artificailly exaggerated by the photo, or indeed the green i.d. colour on the nose. This isn't the best colour scheme to judge the lines of the car on.

IMHO I think the overall F40 GTE shape is wrong of this model. But you can't change that, only the manufacturer can.

    Steve,

Front splitter is parallel to the ground, but you are right, these are not the best pictures/angles to judge. Thanks!

Could you elaborate please what is wrong with the shape of this model?

Take a good look at the shape of the F40 GTE (many photos here on ferrarichat), roofline for example. Nose should be lower.
Take an Eidolon F40 than you'll see what is should be (oke it is 1/43 but still)

The kit leaves much to be desired but it seems to be very nicely built!

I think part of the problem is the opening body panels are not sitting properly(i.e. the nose section sits to high above wheels and windshield). It probably just needs to be pushed down a little in the front and back.

I have the Hiro FCI 1995 F40GTE and the body shape is very good. The roof
looks strange in the photos(wide angle??), but look fine on my Hiro kit. The
roof section on my Hiro kit looks like the Tamiya F40 roof. I doubt any diecast or resin company can beat Tamiya on measurements.
