Who is the worst F1 driver than you know of? I remember Yuji Ide who was absolutely pitiful and a couple others. Who do you think?

Jensen Button? (OK, Kidding, but it was fun.)

    I say maybe Zold Baumgardner.

But my all time worst moment is when Tiago Montero was on the podium at Indianapolis in 2005 when only 6 cars ran and he was celebrating like he just won the WDC. Shuey just walked off stage in disgust.

    How about Andre de Cesaris?

He holds two distinctions in Formula One: the longest career without a race victory (208 grand prix starts), and also his unofficial title of 'Andrea de Crasheris'

Q: Why did de Cesaris have number 8 on his car?

A: It's the same upside down!

Haha! I never heard that one. Pretty good. I remember the '84 Detroit GP when de Crasheris wrecked three times in practice. I've got a picture somewhere of him storming into the garages followed by the wreckers.

I still remember watching Speed when Kimi blew a wheel and wrecked, limped back to the pits with Hobbs saying "he's still faster than Ide!"

Beat me too it! All depends in whose eyes. In McLaren's eyes Glock is a Godsend. In Ferrari's eyes he is the devil. I don't think Glock will be visiting Italy anytime soon for Holiday. LOL

Easy...Michael Andretti. A pathetic loser in F1 despite his success in "nobody" classes.

Giovanna Amati. Got her first F1 test cause she banged Flav. In 92 she spun about 6 times in practice in Kylami with the Brabham team and ended up 9 seconds behind Mansell's fastest time. Never got out of pre qualifying or within 3 seconds of her teammate Eric van de Poele in three races. Now that's truly pathetic.

eh....surely we should limit this discussion to those people who actually drove a race. Otherwise, we'd be pulling in that 60 year old whassisname that paid Minardi for that "test driver" position several years back. Anyone remember him?

How about the Mexican dude (Hector something?) who bought 2 year old Lotuses (Loti?) and hired all kinds of people from Lotus to run 'em for him - Around '79/80 IIRC. The preparation was absolutely fantastic (they did look really good in "Mexican brown").

But, back then we had "pre-qualifying" in F1 and I don't believe he ever made the grid, but I could definitely be wrong on that.....

    Cheers,
    Ian
