I have recently purchased a few Tissot timepieces. I have owned Tags for a number of years and always loved the styling and had generally really good luck with them. I wanted something different and after looking around for a little bit the Tissots kind of jumped out at me. I am one of these watch collectors that cant just go out and buy a bunch of $4000 watches, so instead of having a couple really expensive ones I would rather be able to have quite a few of the $500 to $1500 pieces. Im looking to see what you guys think of these watches or get any other recomendations in this price range to add to my collection.

Purchased a titanium one for my father a few years ago as a daily watch. Really light, hasn't needed any service, and is still keeping good time. Only downside is titanium gets really scuffed up. Sister purchased a stainless chrono for her husband a few years ago and he had had zero problems and the watch is wearing very well. I have two in my collection one from there classic line and the original titanium t-touch. Both of these have held up well mechanically. Only dissatisfaction has been the silicon band on the T-Touch. In four years, I have gone through three bands and am now debating purchasing a fourth. They all crack and break after about a year and at 75->80->95 dollars and rising, this has been a ridiculously expensive watch to maintain.
As a brand I would rate them as one of the best watches for the money. I don't know if the new design of the T-Touch has fixed that problem, but I would research before buying any of their watches with rubber/silicon bands.

I (or bride and I) own several Tissots, and I have given a T-Touch to my dad as a gift (THANKS CHRIS AT VTC). Anyway, I like them and have had great luck with them. I am a big subscriber to the "many cheap versus one expensive" watch theory. I have several Tissots, a Festina, and ESQ, a Tag, etc. that I wear without worry. I have one nicer watch (a Zenith) and am probably going to get a Glashuttes this year, but I like the option to not worry where my day is gonna take me (an unexpected project in the garage, helping a friend with their car, etc.) in terms of what watch I have on.

One of the pieces that I bought is the PRS516 automatic, the one with the black face and the brown leather band with the holes in it. I get more compliments on that watch than any other piece that I wear, and for the money WOW!!! I also have the PRC200 silver dial stainless, and a PRC200 chronograph with the black face. Awesome so far.

Love Tissot. Can't beat them for the money. This is part of my own personal Tissot Rockwatch collection. Made in the 1980's. Not for sale.

I have the Tissot T-Race and love it . The black PVD coating has held up very well (no scratches) and I love the style. Keeps time with no problems. My next will be the anniversary skeleton back.

    Ray G,

That is a nice collection you have there. Why not have a few other Swiss watches? I like variety with my watch collection.

Oh Boy, that's just my Tissot collection. I have over 400 Swatches, 300 Fossils, 50 Breitlings, about 100 vintage pocketwatches from various makers, 3 Breguets, Chronoswiss, Girard-Perregaux, Glashutte Original, Jaeger Le Coultre and a whole lot more. I don't have an exact number but it's over 1000. (none for sale) Is that enough variety for you? My name is Ray and I'm addicted to watches!!!!

I like Tissot, especially their Heritage Collection.

I think VTC has my favorite below (pic stolen from his site), if I was looking to start a Tissot collection I would jump on this one.

Ray, I forgot about the Rockwatch, I used to want one so bad. I would annoy the salesmen at Macys as they had them all :)

    Best,
