Can you put the NF3 wheels on the F355...I saw them on a 360 Modena..... Anybody got any pics to share?
I am not sure about everyone else here but I have NFI what NF3 wheels looks like. Or what they would fit. Perhaps you could share some more details with us

i really like those wheels especially in that color, im curious as well as to how they will look on the f355.
360 and 430 wheels will NOT fit a 355/348. They will sit too wide and more than likely they will be outside of the gaurds.

I would not feel comfortable machining metal off that face of a rim, personal opinion and perhaps it is perfectly safe to do so, but I would buy the correct offset wheels and fit them. The idea of removing the thickness of the bolting area from a rim makes me wonder about the strength I would loose. But I stand corrected, with some modification they can be made to fit.
Well, I dont know mate. Plenty have done it, so I am sure the wheels still have some integrity after they machine some metal off. Do they lose strength?? Perhaps?? I dont know. But I dont think I have seen anyone post any nasty stories after taking metal off them.
I'd have to agree with you there, James. May work fine, but will weaken the wheel at least a bit, and perhaps in ways not really obvious. If doing it, I'd make sure to have any cut corners radiused, to relieve stress risers and minimize potential for future cracking at sharp edges. I'd also do some low speed doughnuts, etc. to test the wheel, and inspect regularly.
I use to design wheels and the answer is.... DON'T!! I wouldn't cut them and weld them either as some have done as in the case of 10 in on a 308. It's been done yes, but not a good idea. When you see what loads wheels go through you'll leave them alone.
Hey guys, I wouldn't weld or machine things off the wheel, but I'd get the adapter and do it right....VWvortex guys always do this on their wheels, but I'm still reaaal curious how they would look on the 355, these wheels looks beautiful. Are there any other wheels that look like it that WOULD fit on the 355 with no mods?
Your welcome. This subject really concerns me when I read about removing material from wheels, especially at the bolt area rear face. This is one area where it should not be compromised, the width of the material in this area is there for a reason. Each wheel is designed to be the best solution for strength and weight for that particular design. You don't want to be trunkin along in your Ferrari and going hard into a corner and watch your wheel parting company from the car, all because of material removed from the key part of the wheel.
360 wheels fit just fine ... see? Slightly smaller tires are best, but the wheels fit fine: no machining (holy ****!?) needed. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks great! Are you sure there was no work done to correct the offset difference between the 348 and the 360? I know some people run spacers on 348's to push their factory rims wider but I thought the difference in off set between 348 and 360 was quite a bit?
Yeah, I have seen some 360 wheels on the rear of 348's that stick a fair way out which tells me the offset is different. Perhaps Tom's 360 wheels were already machined to suit the 348 offset before he bought them? If they havent been machined then I dont know whats going on! Wider tyres will "balloon" on the rim making it look wider, but I am sure the ones that I have seen actually stick out an 1"+ past the rear wheel arches. Tyres wont save ya then if the wheel is too wide! Ill see if I can find some old pics. Will be hard, I have thousands of Ferrari pics!
I've also seen them sticking out, even in that shot they look close to the edge. Those wheels on the black 348 may be machined. If that is the case I'd keep a close eye on them to make sure cracking doesn't occur. I've seen what can happen when material is removed and it ain't pretty. In the design world it's easy to see how a little material removed or added here or there can alter the strength of the wheel. I'm amazed at how people are willing to cut, lighten or shave material off wheels. Just image after doing this adding a set of new sticky compound tires, OH BOY!
