Wow! beautiful car. they sound amazing too (heard one at the Kirkland Concours this summer revving the engine )
Hey, I was just enjoying the pictures over on Facebook! I am not a fan of white, but I must admit this is quite stunning. The stripes and wheels offer just the right amount of contrast. And the interior...wow. Enjoy my friend, you've earned it. Dave
Excellent, Paul. That is one seriously purpose-built, mean-looking machine. Keep away from me. I suspect I won't be able to hear my car if you're anywhere nearby...
Great looking car Paul. I too am not usually a fan of white cars but I do like the 430 in white. With the stripes your Scud pulls it off even better!! Enjoy it in good health, can't wait to see and hear it!!
Congratulations, I recall you've been waiting with anticipation. Great color scheme, especially how well the "pearl black" wheels go with it. The last three Ferrari spec'ed out color combos have been drop dead gorgeous.
I love it........What a beautiful car Paul. I can not wait to see it in person and hopefully get a ride. So in comparison with the 599 does the 430 scare you more then the 599 did?
That's good right ? A ride's available whenever you want. The short time I've had it, it is not terrifying like the 599 was. It is exhilarating beyond being able to describe in words; the best I can do is "OMFG" -- like trying to explain what sex is like to a virgin. The 599, when you wound it up was like trying to hold on to a Saturn-V rocket -- immensely powerful, but invoking fear along the lines of "oh my God, what have I done ?". I would be dead already ("I ran out of ability") if the electronics didn't step in one time to rescue my butt from my foolishness. The problem is that the 599 hides the sense of speed so well, and insulates the driver from any sense of dangerous momentum, that by the time you get the "uh oh"-vibe, you're already in it deep over your head. It always felt that the 599 was tricking me into trying to killing me. The Scuderia is so direct, that you feel everything -- if someone dropped a braille book, you could read it with the tires by running over it. The handling just inspires more and more confidence. The upshifts at anything past 6000rpm with more than 50% throttle are truly breathtaking. At WOT and 7500+rpm, the "breath-taking" is quite literal. With the Challenge Stradale, it was a case that the whole was greater than the sum of its parts. On paper, it was a bit "better" here and there; just marginal improvements in several areas. The result was, subjectively, that the car was twice as good as the 360 Modena on which it was based. Ferrari has done it again with the Scuderia, this car is twice as good as the F430 Coupe. Twice today is made me scream "OH F--- ME!". I thought I'd become jaded with owning some really nice cars over the last few years, this car completely rejuvenated my passion for Ferraris. That's doubtful Eric! The 8C makes the most wonderful sounds this side of an F1 car. I'd be happy to swap keys with you for a little while to swap notes of course! I do have to admit that the Scuderia is the best sounding Ferrari I've ever owned. It's loud, deep and just wails. I was in the I-90 tunnel this afternoon -- dropped the windows and a couple of gears and really wound it up. The scream from the engine howling its way to 8,500rpm was amazing as it quickly achieved 110 (km/h of course!) -- all I can say is "cleanup, aisle two!". If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up! Speaking of which, Ferrari of Seattle have this BEAUTY available for purchase!!!
