07 LP Roadster for 159k

FYI Yesterday I was at a dealer auction in So Cal, and a very dark blue , loaded LP640 roadster with shiny black hemera wheels, and Q cintura , carbon fiber, Clean overall car wih 12kmi brought $159,000.

 

There were announcements on the car "unibody" and "previous paintwork" It's hard to determine what exactly happened to the car unless you have a lot of time to look at it. Still a great deal though.

 

That's nuts. I"m sure the damage to the car won't be reported on the resale though.

 

I do not recall any serious announcements, all lambos have previous paintwork, I have owned 14 mercis , and this one looked pretty good to me. There was also a 2006 F 430 spider solid car Gray with Red loaded from Chase which sold for $144k with 20kmi . and a 03 360 Yellow spider for 90k. there are some good buys out there. I think Vik ruined the market on Lambos for the time being, I heard 48 cars 30 were mercis were dumped on the market at true wholesale.

 

Talk about being at the right place at the right time. Yes, it was definetly a steal. After racking the car it has a small dent/few scrapes on the undercarriage in the front. Looks like the previous owner went over a curb or ran over something. It's very minor. Apparantly, the previous owner owes 320k on it, can't believe they cut it loose! I was very suprised and excited to get the car! Just sent it in for some warranty work and a service. After owning older murci's the LP is just beyond incredible.

enjoy it , I would have definitely bought it , but I did not follow it, I never thought it would have brought that I figured it at a 200k - 215k car.

It just shows that there were a lot of jackasses who had no business buying these cars, in the first place, b/c they are now loosing them to the repo-man. The old days of 'scheming' your way into getting goods, that you could not afford, are over.

 

Congratulations on a beautiful car at a sensational price. It helps put the market value for these things in perspective.

BTW, I think posts like this really bring down the perception of market which in turn brings down the market (if that makes any sense).

To put a bright picture to this.
As all exotics are falling so much in value (I know my 08 lp640 cost me the price of a nice house but has now dropped in value to a used double wide.) and not worth selling everyone who owns one might just as well get out and drive the piss out of them.

This looks to be the old versace roadster that was converted to a regular 640 when it wouldn't sell at LOC.

 

converted back to a regular 640? That seems pretty stupid? Can anyone confirm that this is true?
