FYI Everyone not familiar with news events, the Obama/Biden train is coming through the Philly and Wilmington area this Saturday between 9 AM - 1 PMish. Not sure what this means for traffic though. The Wilmington train station (and I'm assuming some of the roads around the train station will be closed at 10 AM) I do know that the ceremonies are 10:15 AM in Philly and 1 PM in Wilmington...I 95 goes right past the Wilmington train station and the ceremony grounds.

I'm in downtown Wilmington, so shouldn't be any problem for me at least- at least it wasn't the last time Obama was in town and I foolishly drove in from Philly. No traffic issues, but my garage which I pay a monthly fee for was full!

If I'm there, YES! Besides the parking lot is separate and the last thing on someone's mind at the museum are the cars in the lot

Alex, Nice photos. the museum provided a great opportunity to show your skills!! Great turnout today. A rather unscientific method of counting came up with 60 attendees. We had people as far away as Baltimore and North to Allentown. Great event!! Thanks everyone for coming out in 7 degree temps!!
PS I think Dr. Simeone's personal tour made the museum come alive!! Jon in Delaware

Way cool. More than we were expecting

Did i mention that the heater in Steves car is broken? Yep, we drove up and back with no heater. We were rather cold to say the least but well worth it :)

    Couldn't agree more

Thanks again to everyone who made this happen

    Yup.

the new museum is good news and bad news.

good news? Cars are now spread out enough to get really good photos, and the facility is wonderful.

Bad news? Can't get up close and personal with the cars like you could in the past.

Best news? Dr. Simeone gives a great tour and knows those cars like the back of his hand. And the photos make a great desktop for your computer.

Was a great day with a great turnout. I'm just warming up now. That drive with no heat froze my bones. I knew it was cold when there was frost INSIDE on the windows. Hoping to get that sorted out sometime this week. Anyway, thanks to all that showed up, and big thanks to Dr. Simeone for the tour and his amazing collection.
