I stopped by Steve Harris yesterday after the car show because I was told that Richard's Enzo was finally out of storage and being rebuilt at the dealership. The engine has been put back together and sent off for some forced induction, I believe they said that was being done in California. The service guys said that he is looking to get over 1000 HP out of the engine after the turbos are installed.
I was told that the CF work is being done by a military contractor and the new body panels are compliments of our very own Jim G.
The Enzo tub is on the left of the picture on the lift. The white Scuderia belongs to a gentleman in Wyoming and the car in the bottom of the picture is a factory Daytona convertible. The guys at the dealership were very friendly, enjoy the pictures.

Great shots, I was wondering what was going on with this car. A TT Enzo should be incredible. That along with the cut doors shows he's really all about just driving and having fun. Good stuff

Not looking to start a massive debate here but do know what from the original car has actually been able to be saved?

Wow. That's pretty impressive. I'm eager to see how this TT Enzo will perform. Would be cool if someone were there along the way to document the rebuild.

To be totally honest probably similar or even worse than a TTG. For two reasons, 1) I don't think someone would run a high amount of PSI on a $250,000+ dollar engine. 2) The fastest TTGs are putting around 1000 HP to the wheels, I could see this Enzo having around 1100 or so, but anything after that I don't think it would matter, there would have to be massive modifications so it can even get it to the ground. I sure hope they aren't planning to put 1200 or more BHP through the stock gear box either.

Don't get me wrong I looovveee power but I personally wouldn't go over 1200 wheel hp on a street car. There is no point. Without a serious awd system you won't get it to the ground.

The hoop is broken on the tub in the shots above....what will they do, jack the VIN up and roll a new car under it?

Still, I hope it returns in it's targa-topped glory

What I don't understand is, why put all this work into rebuilding this car when surely you can purchase one in great condition for about the same?

I'm really glad my hunch awhile back about what he was doing with the old body panels was correct. :)

    And 1000 hp?? That's awesome.

You need to find the original Road and Track article on this car and read it. July of 2003 I believe.

It's called the 'MM Enzo' for a reason. It had a lot of significance to its owner.

They are limited production cars. I hope they rebuild every crashed one so they don't become super rare when people start scrapping them after a crash.

I'm well aware of the story behind it. I just don't see the point of rebuilding from the ground up. Get a 'new' one and build up the miles on it.

The seat covers were always on, period. No matter if it was being washed, driven or shown.
