Gentleman Just to inform you that Ferrari will launch the all new 430 replacement in October of this year. It is a all new model with an all new engine. Initial pics I have seen are gorgeous. The car will be available for Europe in December 09 for dealers and the very first customer cars in January. Mike
Thanks for the heads up...you;re one of the few people around here that are reputable enough to post that and be taken seriously.
Such a long wait... gargh hard to imagine an improvement on the 430. But I'm sure ferrari will blow us all away
Hard to believe that the folks who did the California, still remember how to do 'gorgeous'! Nice to have a time frame for the rollout now. CH
good to see a post or two back from mike... interesting stuff coming so quickly, but wasnt there a federal mandate that pushed this?
Hi, thanks for the info, a few questions spring to mind 1/ do you have any idea on engine specs as a TT was mentioned at one point? 2/ is this going to be a 'full weight' car (like F430) as there was some discussion about there being no Scuderia/CS variant but allowing buyers to option a lightweight version (no doubt more profits this way)? 3/ how does the car look? Is is evolutionary of the 430 or radically new? You say it is beautiful which is great to hear again! 4/ any word on weight? Many thanks
No, Ferrari gained an exemption. This is a typical new product. The F430 is an evolution on the 360 similar to 355/348 and 328/308 so I wouldn't be surprised to see a massive change.
I just hope for massive change. It might be my next Ferrari. But If they will continue with California and 430 like styles, i will stay long time with my 360.
Thanks for informing us! Have they released an official name yet? Would it be too much trouble to post some pics? Thanks! -G.B.
Thanks for the info Mike! That is GREAT to hear!! I am also looking forward to seeing pics............IF you have them and are allowed to post them here. (I have a feeling that you are not allowed to do so. )
I think Ferrari are running out of towns/test tracks/body styles/body plants etc.. to name their F430 replacement after. I hear through the grapevine that Ferrari have decided to call it the "369 (pronounced three, sixty-nine) Vafanculo"!
I think Monza would be a good name for it? Also, I doubt iceman is in a position where he can post pictures of the car...
- What could the engine be; TT? V10? 4.7? - Is it gorgeous as in California or Scuderia? - Will this car be more aggressive and not as user friendly as the 430 due to the California now taking the place for 'entry level'?
