mjw- You may lose a little torque lower down in the rev range. The bloody thing is so powerful, however, you will never notice. Taz Terry Phillips
Two ways to do it: 1: Pull the vacuum pipes of the exhaust tips, easy to do, but hard to put back on, unless you have very small hands, or a pit or ramps. 2: There is a small hole on the bracket of the exhaust valve that allows you to 'wire' (I used electrical copper wire) the valves open. The wire needs to be tight, otherwise the valves will shut, and you may end up with one side open and the other side shut. Pretty easy to do (took me approx 10 mins) and dead easy to undo (kneel on floor and cut wire with side cutters) to put back to factory spec. I've not had any issues at all. Dealers have seen my 'mod' and not had any problems with it either.
Here are a couple of photos for this thread. The valve stays open when the car is off and then it closes when you start it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any good metal polish works fine. I really think it is odd that I'm the only one with the other pipes dirty. I can't be the only one who drives it hard. I use it in town too. Any one?
