Yes definitely - he is left handed.

 

The President does have a personal "locator" so that people in the White House can see where he is. But, I do not think it is in his watch. I think it is in his pocket. If it were in his watch, he might get "lost" if he changed watches.

 

I wonder if the fakes are made right next to the real ones.

That makes sense, I doubt Clinton would have allowed them to start doing surgery on any of his watches.

 

i seem to remember that the president is given a watch by some company, it's the same watch they've given every sitting president for some time now, unfortunately i can't remember the brand, but i do know they use a gold coin as the face, or a face that looks exactly like a gold coin

Not sure about the Presidential connection, but Corum is famous for coin dialed watches.

The Secret Service watch is a cheap watch ($165/$235). They are made to have Corporate Logo's put on them (sold by LogoMark), just as the Secret Service did. He has been seen with a two tone Tag Heur, but basically has switched to the chrono after the Agents gave it to him.

The movement is a Miyota, a common Japanese movement. I'm sure the dial, case, and assembly are in china. Fake watches usually use Chinese movements

Since Reagan Presidents have tended to wear an everyman watch (Casio or Timex) in public. Bush is known to have an F. Mueller and Rolex seen occasionally. Search on president watches and there is a lot of info available.

thanks for the info on the watch, i'm pretty sure i was looking at one at a store in vegas, and the salesman mentioned the presidential connection, but that was about 6 years ago.
