I think recognise that filthy engine bay in the picture. Is that the same car as that company that have made the carbon airbox lids, fabspeeds? Is that Fabspeeds experimental airtubes??

I don't think that these are Fabspeeds - although a similar idea.
The Fabs are only available in RED (SORRY, Goth) :)) and are a "special high flow design" IIRC.

"IMHO this is 100% Better Flow than stock unit"

That seems to be a rather odd thing to leave to opinion - either it flows better (by whatever percentage), or it doesn't...

I just love that there is no "installed" picture... after studying the pictures I dont see how this would even fit. at least with the parts shown..

my observation: all 3 points of the "Y" going into the airboxes and MAF chamber 'might' fit with their silicone hoses, but the hoses pictured would have to be so far over onto the "Y" that it would look rediculous- all I could envision is 3 blue silicone hoses with a 3" polished "Y".. I think it would look too busy.. too much happening in such a confined space..

...but it is a good price and tempting to pick up for a little research and developement..

    good find Robbie

Which raises the question why. Something so super dupa giving 100% more airflow, why would it not have been fitted i wonder.

........... well what can be said about this ........ the possibility for better flow exists ......... but not with that shape/design ......... at least from what one can see on the outside, that one is no better than stock ............ the stock bellows flows more than enough, though one of the bigger design problems with that merge design is the turbulence created by having simultaneous air flows basically 'crashing' into each other. That creates high/low pressure areas that IMO not even the MAF screen diffuser can fully neutralize at all RPM ranges .......... :(

I am working on something in addition to the air tops to help 'smooth' the flow into the MAF ........... ;)

    +1

    +2

+3 ............. the flow gains on a flow bench do no translate into a direct gain in practical use ............. for one thing there are intake 'air pulses' in the 355 intake tract that vary by RPMs ....... these 'pulses' do not exist on a flow bench ........

    HI Guys

That is not a Fabspeed Motorsports part. However, it is ironic that over 2 years ago I made something very much like that along with a carbon fiber heat shield and 2 conical airfilters and CNC brackets to hold everything in place and I routed the airhoses to the filters. That Ebay system doesnt have a heat shield nor brackets to hold up the filters......maybe it only replaces the factory "Y pipe".

I spent more time developing smoother better flowing silicone hoses to replace the factory hoses and then made better flowing carbon airbox coverlids for the factory airboxes.

As Jeremy mentioned if any F355 owner can cruise by we can offer a free before and after DYNO for fellow Ferrari Chatters and Club members. We also would photo your Clean detailed engine bay..........if anyone else out there has access to a DYNO or has a sweet detailed engine bay and wouold send photos just let us know!

    Have a great weekend.
