anyone down here going to the usgp this year?
I might. Have to see how the AMLS schedule is. It may (as this year) interfear with the USGP. AMLS is more important. Martin
I doubt there will be any conflicts in 2004 with the USGP, ALMS and OWRS (ne CART). Didnt they move the USGP up to like June so it's on consecutive weekends with Canada? The FIA is good at scheduling the Canadian GP on the same weekend as Le Mans which (without the benefit of having a schedule in front of me) is a more likely scenario. OWRS announced Friday that Miami and Fontana are off their schedule so unless the ALMS decides to take up the option, there may not be a Miami GP next year which is a real shame. The ALMS has stated they are not interested in promoting events other than at their own tracks (Sebring, Road Atlanta and Mosport) as it's rather a lose-lose proposition. Maybe Johan will have an Endurance Karting event in Miami instead! BHW
It does not surprise me but at the same time it is a lose-lose. What will AMLS become then? A 3 race series? Which team will put any money into prepping AMLS cars? What a dumb move. Miami was great. The consensus among the drivers was: It is the MOncao GP of the AMLS. No more jumping pictures I guess.
I am going to try and go. I went in 2001 and that was not long after Sept 11, so I didn't enjoy as much as could have any other time. There was alot of fear and uneasiness at that time. I want to Schumi again in case he changes his mind and decides to retire after next year. Anyone know if the St Pete CART race is going to happen?
I will see if I can get tickets to fly up there. When in the race exactly? Anybody have the schedule yet?
Australia March 7 Malaysia March 21 Bahrain April 4 San Marino April 25 Spain May 9 Monaco May 23 Europe May 30 Canada June 13 USA June 26 Great Britain July 4 France July 11 Germany July 25 Hungary August 15 Belgium August 29 Italy September 12 China September 26 Japan October 10 Brazil October 24 The best place to get the tickest for the US GP is at http://www.usgpindy.com/ which is the race track official webpage and it is the cheapest place that you are going to get them. They mail you the tickets about 2 weeks before the race.
USGP June 20th according to the IMS website. By then, the magazine will be up and running so I would expect to be there. (Oops, did I say that?). BHW
Hopefully going to the USGP again this year, with my same VIP passes . I also hope to make it to Bahrain as well. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The St. Pete Open Wheel (CART) race is cancelled for 2004 according to the paper due to legal problems that can not be settled in time. They will try for 2005.
