Im a tall guy that doesn't fit well in anything much smaller than a Porsche Cayenne. My Cayenne Turbo S is a lot of fun, but not an exotic sports car. I had given up on Ferraris after driving a friend's 575 Maranello and just not fitting. Visiting in Scottsdale recently, I jumped into an '05 612 and fit like a glove. I'd love to have one in my future. I'm wondering, however, what other Ferrari's might fit me, and how the 612 fit would compare to it's predecessor, the 456. Can anyone compare for me? I don't live anywhere near where I can find one and won't be traveling again for awhile. Thanks

I have had a 550 and a 612 Scaglietti. I am pretty sure the 612 has a 12" longer wheel base than the 456. To my knowledge It is the largest Ferrari in production. I really loved mine. Two adults can be comfortable in the rear seats for short to moderate trips. The car is beautiful, fast, easy to get in and out of, great handling, even on the track. Based on the economy and current pricing, I think it has got to be the best "Bang for the Bucks" of anything with the prancing horse on the hood.

I don't mean to hyjack the thread but how would you describe the performance and driving experience of the 612 compared to the 550?

I own a 612, and I used to own a 456. I'd say the front seat interior room and headroom are fairly comparable. Actually, the 612 OTO has more headroom than the 456 because of the glass roof. If I remember correctly, the 612s without the glass roof had similar headroom to the 456.

    I'm 6'4" so I notice these things.

And FYI, the 612 isn't the largest Ferrari ever produced, at least by length (and certainly by weight). I happen to own an example of the largest Ferrari ever produced, the 365GT 2+2.

I'm 6'6" and had a 99 550. I lowered the driver's seat 1" so my head wouldnt touch the roof, and the power mechanisms still worked. I have sat in a 612 and found it to be the roomiest Ferrari. I am not comfortable in a 456 or any other older Ferrari. FYI.

I'm 6'4" and the 360 spider was comfortable but tight. At the auto show i sat in the California and it had a lot more room.
